I think Dropship need some system to avoid ground unit attack , like : antiballistic missile laser jamming system, for increase whole team survive rate . Any suggestion ? Or Opinion ? |

SOONtm, and for all vehicles (I assume). It would make no sense for only DS's to get them, and all vehicles really need them. |

What we need, is a rock paper scissors here: rail tanks take out tanks, blaster tanks are usable for infantry, but infinitely less effective on tanks, swarms are mainly anti-air/installation, but can deter a tank. The forge would he ultra aanti tank, making the tank think 3-4 times about passing forge up, engage or disengage. But forge should not instawtfpwn tanks. Drpships would be anti-tank, being able to fly higher than turrets can aim. The ds could swap missile/rail for blasters, making it anti infantry capable, but never be better than an infantry guy. It's like a rock paper scissors here see? |

I recently posted the issues arising around applying said Rock Paper Scissors Ideals to a game this 'deep'. With Customization, there will always be a bulge in an RSP system, and that will derail the whole system.
When Rock becomes Capable of defeating both Scissors and Paper, who would play anything but Rock? And that's what we have at the moment. Rock > All else.
We need to do away with the RSP dichotomy and introduce Balance. Where everything is capable in it's own niche, without one thing dominating multiple scenarios.
CQC Shotguns, HMGs, SMGs.
Mid-Range Combat ARs, LR, ScR, Mass Divers, etc.
Long Range Combat Sniper Rifles, Tactical Rifles, and so on.
Each one based off the same 'DPS' but with different methods of delivering said payloads, so only the playstyle differs.
Everyone will have different opinions on this issue, but it is my personal belief that the RSP dichotomy being applied to a deep game like this will kill it.
As to the OP, a Lock-Alarm, EMp Jammer system have all be recounted multiple times. CCP is listening. |
