Now that this is in fiction, I can post. This is what I would consider a top-down view of Galm from the point of view of CONCORD. Yet despite the fact that he claims to be an open book, I think it is safe to say that there are still certain aspects of Galm that alludes even CONCORD eyes.
Quote:Preliminary CONCORD Report CONCORD Mercenary Dossier
Name: Galm Fae Known aliases: "Pixy", "Pixie", "Warrior Nine" Known affiliations: Former Mordu's Legion citizen, ex-member of Templis Dragonaurs, Seituoda Taskforce Command operative, Guardian Solutions military consultant Occupation: Mercenary (trained in light assault, engineering, and piloting) Height (Baseliner): 5' 8" Weight (Baseliner): 165lb Hairstyle: Bronze, medium length, dark stubble Eyes (Baseliner): Hazel Place of Birth: Mordu's Legion HQ Station, 5ZXX-K V - Moon 17 Race: Intaki-Civire Languages: Napanii and extremely limited Intaki
Faith: An eccentric belief he has dubbed "The Caldari Trinity" that borrows different aspects from Achuran spirituality, Intaki Ida, and the Caldari Way.
Overview: Galm's father was a long-time member of Mordu's Legion, having served under Mordu during the Waschi Uprising as a Caldari paramilitary. It was during this conflict that he met Galm's mother, an Intaki refugee. The two married in time, but were constantly kept apart because of contracts and difficult family issues. It wasn't until he accepted a desk job at Legion HQ that he was finally able to start his family, only to be tragically cut short.
Both of Galm's parents were killed when a bomb destroyed a tramcar filled with civilians. It is believed the terrorist responsible was a rogue Dragonaur determined to assassinate a former Gallente war criminal regardless of the collateral damage. Wrecked by guilt due to their inability to control their agents, the Dragonaur sleepers on the station executed the rogue terrorist to prevent compromising their operations and sheltered the young boy until they felt him old enough to reveal their true identity to him and formally welcome him into the Dragonaurs. Galm proved to be a valuable agent, feeding information of the Legion's involvement in the cluster to State Provosts right under Muryia Mordu's nose. Operations came to a halt however after a failed attempt to intercept a nuclear bomb leaving Mordu's Headquarters. Accounts very as to how exactly Dragonaur involvement came to an end in Pure Blind. Top analysts doubt if operations ever ended at all and insist Galm still holds close ties with former Provists across the cluster despite various contradictory reports.
Forced into hiding, the remaining Dragonaurs guided Fae into the Caldari State were he joined up with the STC as a candidate for the State's immortal soldier program. Galm continued as a member of the STC until a botched mission in the Kor-Azor Region, causing him to desert the Taskforce and drift around the universe for an extend period of time.
Eventually, he wound up competing in Gladiator matches in a Gurista spaceport, were the remaining mercenaries of BetaMax signed him onto the newly formed Guardian Solutions.
Note: Psychological reports suggest a history of dementia due to faulty implants and boosters. Long term damage might have an effect on overall mental health, but no investigations on the matter have been organized. |

I decided to give Niina her own dossier:
Quote:Name: Niina Eskola Lai Dai Serial Number: 152643 Known Affiliations: Eskola Ergonomics, Caldari Steel, Lai Dai Megacorporation, Galm Fae, Guristas Pirates
Age: 22 Occupation: CEO of Eskola Ergonomics Height: 1.7m Weight: Refuses to have her weight taken. Doctors estimate roughly 60kg. Hairstyle: Swept shoulder length black hair. It is unclear if its apparent tendency to remain unkempt is a natural phenomenon or intelligently designed. Eyes: One Blue, One Dark Brown (Diagnosed with Heterochromia)
Place of Birth: Airkio VII - Moon 3 - Lai Dai Corporation Factory Race: Deteis Languages: Napanii, a variety of Lonetreck dialects
Defining features:
Facial nano tattoos in different geometric patterns. Tattoos trace down her neck before meeting at her lower back. Tattoo on lower back states her Lai Dai serial number. Pale, lightly freckled face constantly hidden behind her perpetually messy hair.
Overview:
Niina Eskola was born in a newer generation of tube children to the Lai Dai megacorporation. Minor defects in the breeding process led to a variety of subtle genetic mutations. Most are benign, including her heterochromia, double joined thumbs, and irregular menstruation cycles. Often however her genetic damage leads to health complications and illness.
The health complications proved to be more than the State funded orphanage she resided in could provide for her, causing her to experience episodes of drastic weight loss in the span of only a few days. Thankfully, her mutations proved to be her saving grace. Ilari Eskola, then an unmarried middle aged business man, entered the orphanage with the intent of finding a young boy to mentor and ultimately become his successor in life. When he caught a glimpse of NiinaGÇÖs two unusual eyes, however, he fell in love and adopted her as his own.
As she grew, Niina and Ilari became inseparable from each other. As the newly formed Eskola Ergonomics began to turn a profit, Ilari was able to pay to keep Niina healthy and well educated within the State. By the time she was a young adult, Ilari regarded Niina as though she were his biological daughter.
Their entire world came crashing down however when Eskola Ergonomics was found responsible for black market arms deals with Guristas pilots, who would pay the Lai Dai conglomerate he operated under by acting as privateers in low-sec space. To avoid facing further investigation, Ilari was turned over to State Provists without a fight. In one final act of love for his daughter, Ilari committed ritual suicide on the grounds that Niina would be left alone to manage what was left of his legacy.
Shamed and unable to operate a black market empire, she sold the majority of the corporation to a larger subsidiary within Lai Dai. No longer welcomed in the State, she retreated into the company of her fatherGÇÖs patrons in the Tenal region.
The money earned from selling her business however proved barely enough to keep her well medicated. She purchased a bar in the Shoashu Sasaanko spaceport to earn an income, but still had to subject herself to some of the worst services the universe has to offer so she could continue to afford to manage her frequent illnesses.
It was while living on this station that Niina found herself in the company of Galm Fae, an immortal mercenary and known terrorist. (Before their encounter, all records indicate Galm had gone MIA in the Kor-Azor Region during investigations of war crimes by the Seituoda Taskforce Command, his former employer.) It is believed that during their brief time together each had a prolific impact on the other. They formed a short lived codependent relationship that existed up until a rise in Gurista infighting in the region. Galm was forced to flee the station with the aid of fellow immortals in a nearby BetaMax fleet.
Recently the remainder of Eskola Ergonomics has been purchased and revived by Caldari Steel. The goal is obvious; rebuild a black market arms manufacturer to regain funds lost during Heth's rule. This has only worked in Niina's favor, allowing her to become the figurehead of the reformed company and leave Shoashu Sasaanko for greener pastures. While we can identify what products are being produced by market trends and intercepted shipments (biotic boosters, illegal copies of the outlawed GÇÿToxinGÇÖ series firearms, modified dropsuits, and Gurista outfitted armored personnel carriers) we cannot identify the source of these materials, where they are being moved to, or how frequently they are being shipped.
Note:
To this day, Galm values Niina as his ward. Any attempts to manipulate him should then be made by using Niina's safety as incentive for cooperation.

Despite my better judgement telling me that what I am saying sounds EXACTLY like what someone who has made a Mary Sue character would say... I'm going to have to disagree with you Adamance. Granted, even before posting this I wrestled with if I was overplaying her at all. (I gave her heterochromia, even I know that screams Mary Sue.)
Everything about her is completely justified in the Eve universe. I didn't go to any lengths to bend the world to fit her. Tube children are common for the deteis bloodline, and genetic damage is a real threat when you are using a biological mixing pot to make offspring. Moreover, Airkio VII - Moon 3 is a real in-game Lai Dai corporation clone factory. I didn't just make that up.
Look, I am fully aware of how OP she seems at a glance, but... Well lets just say when you are trying to sell a character you don't want to have its flaws out there on the tin.
I wouldn't say that either of our characters are Mary Sues. They just need time to develop. It is easy to judge someone at a passing glance, but frankly I find a lot more value in a character that slowly reveals they are less-than-perfect than someone who has no real depth and only one defining characteristic.
Having complex characters is what drives narrative. The only exception is in RP scenarios where characters can easily be defined with one singular character trait (the sniper, the veteran, the zealot, the mystical negro) and yet somehow seem clever and diverse in a group environment. But frankly, I find places like the IGS to be more of a staging ground for further fiction development than an end in itself. |

I meant to say, not that she was not unique or OP only that somehow we both ended up using the same character archetypes and relations ships for our female characters. I probably did not express that very well. Ah, I hear you know.
Don't worry, you shouldn't have to worry about that. Where Kador and your character share a protective bond, your female character can still fight. Niina's never been any good in a fight but commands a fair amount of autonomy from Galm. Hopefully soon I can shift that into my writing to show that off a bit.
If anything, I enjoy the parallelisms. It should be interesting seeing how we both go about putting different takes on the same archetype. |

The other way around, but I get what you mean. It wouldn't be too far of a stretch though. From a writers perspective I can really appreciate that though. For how similar we are, consider for a moment how often Galm and Kador are at odds with each other.
In a sense, we are opposite sides of the same coin. |

Fair bit of warning, I've used a character similar to Niina in the past and people have described her as a bit "bubbley." I can assure you, this wasn't planned. Niina actually acts a lot more like myself than Galm does.
Hah! Nice! :) Yeah I feel like Demel is a "playful" and "lascivious" version of me representing joy, emotion, and half or so of the human sins while Maximia is more "thoughtful" and "blunt" representing the seclusive, knowledgeable, and the other sins, not that I a creep irl, then again, I really doubt we'll know what each other actually are like in real life. Just an idea, keep an open mind at what each other are like, your character can reflect who you are, but it doesn't mean it is you... (Felt like saying that cause when I rp on other sites, stuff like that flies around like crazy, it's just....gross) I get what you mean. In a lot of ways Galm and Niina are different aspects of a whole. |

Lol what are you missing? I need to add the Iesa Arc Blood Raiders Assault Siege of Raa Hunting the Fallen Templars Kador's Vacation and more recently the Fall of Arzad Looking forward to all of those!
Hopefully you don't care for spoilers, but I still need to write down Galm's rise from an orphan to a full fledged terrorist. Right now I get the impression from others that while he can be an ass, he isn't that dangerous. I really want to show people that in the past Galm was a pretty harsh bastard, while still painting it in a light that would make you see it all from his point of view.
There are some secondary characters that will become more important later in my RP plans, and I plan on making a tie-in to the events of Templar One (hint, Galm was still a citizen of Mordu's Legion AND a Dragonaur during the time.)
Afterwards things are really going to brought to a head during his time in the STC. I don't want to quite share what happens then yet. For now it sort of works in my favor to just tell you "it was bad." |

Thank you for the feedback, it really does make a world of difference and helps me out to hear from someone else's viewpoint.
I get exactly what you mean about the aggression thing. A character who walks into a public area in a heavy suit and smashes babies with his face you can take (if you forgive the term) at at face value. But speaking with Ryeon made me realize that something that walks like a human, acts like a human, and seems at a glace human tend to become unsettling at best when there is just a slight twist that makes you wonder just how much of them you're seeing.
Galm's done some horrible things in his day, but the worst part of it all is that to this day it has never occured to him that he's been the bad guy in all of this.
Likewise, Kador lies at the opposite end of the spectrum. He is one of the most genuine characters in the summit and I want him to succeed! Can't wait to hear more from him.
And don't worry about the canon tie in. It would mostly be four chapters of Galm getting his ass kicked. |

Point of clarification: Galm's hate for the Amarr is more or less a manifestation of his own self-loathing. He blames them for what happened to him in the STC. Just something to note, it isn't that I make a point of pickling on Amarr RPers just because they are Amarr and slavery is bad.

I recently had a huge breakthrough with Galm and uncovered some of his "hidden memories" sort of speak. (In truth I like to think he hasn't told anyone about these memories because they were honestly the worst battle he's ever fought and committed the worst things he's ever done and would rather just forget outright.)
I have his experience with Heth's purge really well planned out, but I'm not sure if I should share them now or hope I can someday find time to get there in Warrior Nine.
By the way, the next part is coming soon, like by tomorrow. It's going to be fairly short, but that is because it is a lead-in to a much larger one I am working on.
