Anyone use Breach Mass Drivers?

It seems like they wouldn't be that great with a small blast radius and lower blast damage than the normal MD. Also it fires slower. I'm gonna try it out but I was wondering what you guys think about them and what experiences you have had with them if you use them.

The problem comes down to Flaylock Pistols being better if your intention is to hit reds. The Breach MD need a RoF buff and at least 1 more clip ammo.

It was pretty hard to kill them unless I hit them directly or they were already almost dead. It's great against vehicles though and I did get a lot of assists with it. I still want to try it in a more enclosed area though instead of defending A on a bridge the whole time. I definitely know what you mean about needing more ammo and RoF buff.

Hahaha thats exactly what I meant by good against vehicles, two enemy tanks drove onto the bridge and I got close and just started wailing on them. It is great for LAV drivers that decided to stop for a second or run into a wall. 9-4-3. I'd have to say its pretty good if you are good with aiming MDs and landing shots, but I definitely always want my smg in handy to finish off the kill.

They can one shot a low HP merc quite well if you aim properly and are kind of slow on the firing rate. For my ISK I'd say go with an EC-3 MD, bang for buck it is a reasonable deal and will still give a bit of a punch and maybe 2 shot people while allowing for more assists rather than kills with its larger blast radius.

Ultimately the side-arm is going to be protecting you(you're not going to be doing anything with the Breach without a flux, and AV nades are needed for vehicles). In a Logisuit, REs do a better job of keeping you alive then a Breach does(even if they see them, they have to waste time getting rid of them, and you should be long gone by the time they do)

I personally think that it should act as a plasma weapon: short range, high dps, high damage, we've got two of these features for the plasma rifle but not the most important bit.

It can destroy armor LAVs without fluxing, and can destroy any shield tank with fluxing, and cripple or destroy armor tanks. With cooking fluxes and using splash to finish off infantry, you can survive well enough. But if you're trying to shoot infantrys bodies, you're not actually using it right and you'll get f***ed for it. Plasma Cannons better at that.

I'm a just keep working on those skills.... (and OP, sniper talk...then mass driver talk....if you go heavy, we might be twins.....)

A lot of us got a lot better with direct hits. I still hate the new trajectory just for the fact that you can't flush people out from vertical cover. From time to time, I'll bring out the breach on my speedy fittings and use it like a shotgun to break up the monotony. The painfully slow RoF really kills the weapon in terms of practical use since it almost completely negates the added DPS you get from direct hits. I'd actually be willing to trade clip size or reload speed for higher RoF. At this point, I might as well bust out a core flaylock with some damage mods to free up some space for second kin cat. I used to use the assault a lot back in Chromosome with my full support oriented fittings. Sitting back to scatter organized squads while taking advantage of a flux repper on a slower suit was great for this. If they brought back assault MDs at starter level, I would probably do this again, but the EC-3's fitting cost is too damn high considering the meta level of equipment I carry on a regular basis. Still, it's a good choice for point defense or aggressive area denial when you get proficiency 5 a damage mod and some REs. I call it my Demoman fitting. So basically, I focus on the standard EXO-5 as my mainstay. Passable crowd control, moderate damage, and relatively easy to fit on the versatile Minmatar logi. I'm actually in the process of squeezing out some more CPU/PG from some passive skills and upgrade to the Freedom.
