It will be really interesting to see what their player count does over the next few weeks. Does the game have what it takes to keep people playing for months or years? |

Don't worry... I'm sure GTA 5 will live on as long as any of the other games in the series
But a few months from now more than half of their players will be gone
You have to realize that 50% of the people who bought the game only bought it because their friends bought it
Once they realize they don't really give a fuzz, they'll stop playing
And once again LoL will reign king |

Mind you I don't think that all 15mil who brought gta didn't try to go online at same time. But I would say rockstar underestimated AGAIN, how many were going to. Also I don't think it's just a server issue. wouldn't be surprised to see a patch come up soon.
But before the dust cheer leaders come on.. They will get it fixed much quicker than some developers we know.

Within a 6 months to a year, that number will be a tiny fraction of what it is now - infact that number was probably inflated by Rockstars 'interesting' staggered release thingy.
Then again, I never have liked GTA that much. |

um... Dota2 has LoL beat, forever , sorry
Not as a game I just mean numbers LoL will never surpass Dota 2 anymore they have more players online and the game has had a lot of time to build up to that and it's had zero drops.
Also GTAV seems like it's got a lot to do in muliplayer, think it'll hold people for a long time
