Let's have some fun with polls!
The question is, in detail, do you believe that right now Dust is in such a bad state that CCP should put a bigger focus on gameplay fixes over all else, or that Dust is in an acceptable (or more than acceptable) state and the core content getting added should be the priority over all else?
Core content exclusively includes: 1. Amarr and Caldari light frame dropsuit 2. Caldari, Gallente, and Minmatar heavy frame dropsuit 3. Caldari and Minmatar assault rifle 4. Amarr and Minmatar LAV, HAV, and dropship 5. PVE

Those who choose content over gameplay are actually saying that the gameplay is good enough right now for a major shift in focus on content to be made. |

If they add content without fixing the gameplay then they're building a house on an unstable foundation. Do note that I'm not saying core gameplay should be abandoned, I am saying is the gameplay is good enough now for a shift to introducing the absolutely core content, and only that core content, which I listed in the OP, should be made. Upon completion, return to a more gameplay-focused approach. |

No one's gonna want to live in a house with a REALLY sweet foundation, but only two walls, and those are only on the first floor. Better to have a decent house with a pool, tennis courts and a three car garage, even if the front door sticks, and the showers get cold after an hour. Beats a furnished basement with nothing upstairs, no? Excellent analogy, well put! |

Beats a furnished basement with nothing upstairs, no? Excellent analogy, well put! Thank you sir. I find I like you PIE guys more and more. Also, regardless of the picture, I'm an Amarr at heart. We ought to squad up sometime. For what it's worth, I run an Amarr assault suit and assault scrambler. = ) You'll find that despite whatever preconceived notions people tend to have about Amarr, the people in PIE are some of the nicest guys you'll meet (at least they're some of the nicest I've met!). Feel free to join our Dust channel, PIE Ground Deployment. Could never have too many scrambler rifles in the squad!
Also should you ever need a new corporation, PIE has been accepting non-Amarr races into our sister corp since 2012. It's essentially the same thing but with a slightly different description for role play purposes. |

A full respec would undermine part of the core gameplay. However, a partial respec for a specific skill set would be nice (e.g. heavy suits). Respectfully disagree. If all the core content is available, then it drastically changes how you would have approached spending your skill points. For example, if you want to be a Sentinel your only option is Amarr, but you really want to be a Caldari Sentinel. However the best way to tank the Amarr Sentinel is with armor, not shields.
Or what if you are really set on only using your race's technology? So say you want to be an Amarr scout, but none is available so you did the next best thing and went Amarr Assault even though it's not what you had intended to.
And then in True's case (hope you don't mind!), he had always wanted to do Amarr HAVs but couldn't stand using non-Amarr tech so invested heavily into Amarr infantry. Of course now he's finally gave in and gone Gallente HAV because it doesn't look like content is coming anytime soon, but you get the idea.
When the core content is released, it needs to be a FULL respec. |

Also good to see you are more open minded about this game and not just one of the more generalist players. Yeah, well they paid better. = ) Worth mentioning, we're done with that, and I've managed to get quite a few Amarr converts in my squads. Most people like being the 'bad guy' I find. Also, Dat gold trim. Not to be rude, but nobody you will find in the PIE Ground Deployment believes Amarr are the bad guys. We all genuinely agree they are, in fact, the good guys - and this coming off of a lot of looking into the lore and knowing the ins-and-outs of each of the four main races. |

Mechanics are much improved but still not 100%, nor will they ever be. I do have to agree with Spkr though...gameplay always comes first. Content should be a reward and given in small doses with plenty of in-between time. the argurment with this, is the fact that all of this was promised to be there upon full release of the game, what 5-6 months ago this isnt NEW content, its content that should have been there from the start Exactly. No one is asking for shiny new toys, we just want the plane Jane normal old toys that have been on display for several months. |
