Distinguished members of the Dust 514 community,
how long are you willing to spin the hamster wheel? Where is our SP rollover system, why did it take 5+ months to fix the plasma IR transparency settings; why are your latest events forcing us to grind even more, and why are you implementing more and more terrible ideas to make us log in every day (SP daily login bonus) when you know it only makes the players feel worse because they're constantly missing out on opportunities?
Stats @ http://eve-offline.net/?server=dust are showing a decline from 6k active to 3k active on average; you're losing the battle for player retention. You increase booster prices, push features back ever more and give us an anaemic 1.5 patch with a terrible October event that basically forces you to play 3 games daily to get the max SP out of it: you REEK of desperation.
When you find yourself in a hole stop digging.
Give us the peace of mind of SP rollover and reimburse everyone's "missed out" bonus SP so they can gain it back if they put their hours into it AT THEIR OWN DISCRETION. Your hamster-training is getting worse every month and people are getting burnt out trying to stay on top of the SP grind. You made us vote on the SP rollover and you have done NOTHING about it ever since.
I have finally come to realise that all your visions and ambitions are just bait to lure players into the SP grind, the EVE link is a joke and the performance of the game is still terrible 2 years later. You have incompetent developers who break basic functionality every patch and a lazy community team who can't even write a dev blog on time.
CCP Shanghai, thou hast let me down mightily.

EVE player since 2004, CCP Shanghai is a joke compared to CCP Reykjav+¡k. I know what you're saying, and I really really want to be wrong, but I'm afraid they've managed to break my spirit and my intellect refuses to be tricked into running the hamster wheel again.
Enough is enough, CCP is doubling down on making you log in even more so you can jump through their hoops. |

Guildo Crow,
the SP grind wouldn't be so bad if they didn't punish players who couldn't play for a week and lose the 190k bonus permanently. This is what CCP Nothing said a while ago and we haven't heard anything about it since (also linked in my original post):
CCP Nothin wrote:Now, in regard to the weekly skill cap and the implications of it:
We acknowledge that the current implementation of the skill cap still isn't quite there yet. It doesn't quite allow people to choose when to play as freely as we would like, and it also adds some unnecessary complexity when it comes to using active boosters. This is why we are working our way towards a rollover SP system: instead having your pool of bonus SP being reset according to a fixed weekly cycle, you will steadily accumulate bonus SP to a pool over time that you can then empty through fighting in battles. As a result, everyone should be able to better choose when to come in and claim the available SP. Moving to such a system would have the added benefit of allowing us to make active boosters to give out a constant value over time by having them influence the rate at which SP accumulates into the pool instead of just multiplying SP received at the end of each battle. |
