I hope OP isn't right, cuz if right.. well.. then CCP and Dust are going to have great times ahead
Possible clusterfuck (Uprising 1.6) hitting Tranquility in T minus a month (give or take some days)...
*In 1.6 and onwards.. - "CCP Shangai (Dust514) report status..." - "Situation normal, all fuc*** up" - "Cool, keep up with the great work guys" - "And your end?" - "Well you should check the Eve forums" - "haha, funny" |

I rather have CCP getting it done right the first time than having to put fixes continuously throughout the updates.
Deal with it. don't kid yourself. Something would still be wrong with it if they spent a year on it. XD That's true. However it'll still be a ton better than spending a month on it. --Edit-- Keep in mind that there has to be a balance between vehicles and infantry. A tank shouldn't be able to go 50/0 and infantry shouldn't be too strong either. But why should tanks be balanced such that if the enemy IN A MEANINGLESS PUB MATCH has no better than STD AV, the tank should still be weak to the one or 2 people that bother to take it out? If there's another tank or Logi LAV supporting it, it should not go down at all, and not even have to run away from the fight to rep, because it would be getting remote reps from other vehicles.
So you're sudgesting that tanks even with support shouldn't go down by any means? Then by your logic a heavy with logi support shouldn't go down either.
Fascinating. |

If we are realistically looking at next year it would be a nice gesture to offer a respec of vehicle skills so the dedicated pilots can have some fun in the meantime. I took the last available respec to get out of dropships and it has saved my sanity and my wallet. This x 1000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 They can't even throw us this bone.
CPM has been stressing the importance of getting this information published as soon as possible to the CCP community team and we are being heard on this subject. The Community team is doing almost everything they can to get it out early as possible and working with the involved developers on the subject on various aspects including or possibly bypassing additional messaging, blog decisions, translations and scheduling and the sorts that normally causes delays on information from NDA known to public known.
There will be an update to the CPM on the matter tomorrow or something better (from my point of view in Central US time zone). The community team has been helpful explaining the hold ups and listening to the CPM reasoning as to there is a need to not 'schedule' this information as its really not a 'commercial' (cpm's term) but more later on.
So if something really good happens thank the Community team. |

I know you guys are frustrated and all but going around and labeling patch 1.5 is this but now its the NPE patch or labeling 1.6 as a vehicle patch before the patch notes lands (or even the theme of 1.6 is well known) for that patch is going. Development happens, and developers typically don't promise anything. Warframe is still waiting on a grappling hook they showed working months (+6 now) ago and they're still running into problems with it like zipping to xyz 000. I know its easy to get excited over new features as soon as they're somewhat made public but to buy into the point that it is thought to be a promise is only going to hurt your expectations when development does happen.
For once I can be happy about a part of your post. Thanks for continuing to try and share information.
However on the second part, no. 1.5 was very directly stated to be the focus for a vehicle rebalance. Then they announced that was being pushed back. It isn't an assumption to think that it will come in 1.6 when it was originally slated to be in 1.5.
This is just a hilarious continuing example of CCP's inability to come up with quality content filled updates in a timely fashion. |

I'll be frank, it the decision to take it out of 1.5 was beyond CCP's control, deploying it as was would have made the game unplayable. More technical than ethical reasons if you will and resolution of it didn't seem feasible enough for 1.6. |

We ran into some integration issues with the existing work that's going to take a little too long to iron out. Same goes for the weapon changes. Think it might be time for CCP to hire Bioware's Public Relations guy. So in 1.2 they released the information of 1.5 being a vehicle re-balance patch. Said woops my bad, it got to be 1.6. Now that 1.5 is right around the corner CCP said just kidding! its gotta wait for 1.7. Now their ploting who to hire to tell us its going to be back in 1.8. So a broken promise (1.5) for a broken promise (1.6) and soon a broken promise of that promise (1.7). Hey CCP. November Hope is gone... |

CPM gets access to quite a bit of data we have a rough outline of things going from the meeting table, to early concepts, to planning, to development, to testing, to deployment. The process is no where near 30 days as some of you guys think. If it was originally a comment about 1.5 not being vehicle update then ok it gets a delay...
It's being delayed again. |

-> CCP controls the code and technical portion of DUST -> they cannot deliver the planned changes on time -> players do not get the changes
compared to:
-> CCP controls the balancing and game design portion of DUST -> CCP cannot decide on the changes or focus on them on time -> players do not get the changes
its not a matter of what caused the hold up, its the fact that there is a hold up at all. Either way, it ends up with players not getting the changes and the game doesn't get improved. And that is an undeniably consistent trend with CCP.
Its always either a holdup, a change of focus, or a disaster of design. And so DUST continues to crawl forward at a glacial pace, if it is crawling forward at all.
I'm not here to hate on DUST for the sake of hating on DUST but I will not close my eyes and just hope on the potential of the game anymore. |

How about +50% hp for DS and tanks (by setting a base resist of 33%) AND increase shield booster by a factor of 3. <- HOTFIX in 1.5, change numbers and fine |

This might be asking for too much, after all its been like 6 + months since the dren stuff was released and they still haven't fixed that. The commando suit is still horrible, how long has the plasma rifle been garbage?
These can all be toyed with just using simple numbers......

They did hotfixes before and they acknowledged, that there is a problem (thus the patch)
Now, since the can't deliver, hotfix some numbers (base resist 33% and triple shield boosters <- SIMPLE) and fine. We wait then. |

We were patient for 1.5 when it was announced to be a vehical balanceing patch in 1.2. This is a full game now, it is no longer beta. We were promised something, and we waited. Then all we get is delayed, real games dont do that. no more patience is given. |
