This is my wish list. I would buy AUR to get respect tokens to try all of these. The chance I will not get bored of the grind by the time I will have sklled enough in each of these to really "try" them (suit bonus, weapon decent damage, mods upgraded) is not likely. Time will tell.
1.Heavy suit, with HMG, full armor plating. 2. Scout suit with a shogun and nova knifes 3. Assault suit full shield tank, Scrambler Rifle 4. HAV and Dropship (logi) full skill dump, try that for a bit.
I am sure by the time I have tried these, enjoyed them and switched I will want more. And if CCP makes respecs AUR then CCP will also have gained some $$ from me instead of a F2P - that's the idea right? |

I have 5.6 million SP and haven't specialised in anything. If they gave a Respec I would get Gallente Scout 5 and a bunch of Upgrades. I don't have enough SP to make it perfect but my SP is all over the place. I really just want to specialise in Gallente Tech. Oh and after I finished my Scout Fit I would work on an Assault Fit. :3 |

At 11.5 million SP, I can (and do) do all of that - except the vehicles, which are not a wise investment in their current state and high cost per deployment.

also I would not be surprised when the racial bonus for suits changes to racial weaponry and all dropsuits and weapon skill get refunded due to this. you never know what happens. CCP was also clear about that, there will be no respecs except some major changes happen. |

I mean, come on guys. Dust right now is more of a beta than the beta ever was, AFTER all these changes, how could there NOT be another respecialization? |

About the vehicles, You can make friends with a vehicle specialist and just pay for your them. It's pretty much the same experience only without wasting your SP. |

I doubt CCP would let a respec token system fly. The talk of FOTM and choices won't matter B.S. will be their counter argument.
With a 3-6 month respec token available for 10-15k aurum, I can't see any real game breaking with this. FOTM is virtually non existent if you forget about the AR. Choices will still matter for the next 3-6 months. You now have players making a 10$ purchase every few months just to try something new.
Or we could go with a token system that has a 1 month cool-down and make it like an Eve subscription to respec every month. Old players would come back. New players would possibly stay. CCp may get some vet players as first time customers.
I still like the concept +1 |

I normally would say HELL NO.
BUT in Dust it is needed a few more times.
1. When new weapons comes into the game.
2. When new suits comes into the game.
3. When new modules comes into the game
4. When new HAV's, LAV's, DS's, Bombers/fighters ect. Comes into the game.
5. When BIG changes are made in the game. Like when PVE comes etc. |

my point was that the scout is good for nothing. Both the shotgun and sniper roles can be better satisfied with other suits (minmatar/gallente assault).
I play both of these roles and have never understood why anyone would pick a scout. It's literally like saying "I have more fun making things harder for myself"
EDIT: Do some theory craft, you'll see what I mean. Link is to DFT |

Respecing is the same as boosting passive/active SP. It is SP your getting more then the F2P person that you did not really earn.
Gaining skills back or having SP in wasted areas and boosts is the same but not as direct. So player still have a hard time and bad players will continue to be gimped until they have so many SP points and skills that it does not matter.
Due to game glitches and bug/exploits some people do have 27+ SP unearned by using beta issues. This is not an issue for them I understand. It is an issue for new players (a few months old that tried all the stuff spread there points out and have not gimped themselves)
Dust just is not that user friendly like EVE (same same). Slowly they do that but slowly the market is pulling away. The games update to slowly in this fast passed market and will remain nitch games for adults and mature teens that have (no life) I mean the ability to play +3-8 hours a day. The grind and reward is long and not very WOW...
Let me respect to try all the game has to offer and pick what I want to specialize in instead of blindly guessing, well major game updates change everything, making it impossible to make an informed decision.
