Hmmm let me think about this. You're asking for a respec because you think it will increase replay value. You do realize that CCP has stated that the full skill tree will take years to skill into. Unlike MAG you won't be limited by a maximum amount of SP.
Where I am confused is the whole idea of re-playability which you say this game lacks. I think I'd have to agree. Replaying a game implies beating it, mastering all its skills, or even reaching its level cap. This game does not have any of those limitations Checkmate. You can skill into new things indefinitely, adding to the depth and bredth of your characters skills. There is no reason to erase what you have to gain something new. SImply keep playing and develop new skills. Problem solved.
Your request is conceptually flawed and totally ignores the basic premise of the game. Remember, your choices matter and will effect your character forever. Even a mistake will become an asset in the long term.
Edit: Stop your bleating for a respec. We have reasoned, trolled, berated, and simply told you no. Give it up and either enjoy the game and keep playing or shut up and go away. |

While I understand your frustration over the scouts being hard to use in this build they are by no means unusable. There are several scouts in our corp who perform more than admirably even given the current difficulties. That being said you don't nessicarily have the SP to perform at that level with only 12 million, especially if you did anything but specialize right away. What I can tell you is that if you enjoy the game and keep playing you can be successful as a scout in the current build.
I really do think that you are underestimating many of our investment in this game. This build is one of the best and more playable for every class. There have been builds where our PS3's hard froze after every three matches, and others where scouts could actual dodge bullets matrix style. In a couple of the builds everyone just spammed swarm launchers kiling everyone vehicles and infantry alike. If you look at those previous builds this one looks amazing and plays great.
My point is that if those previous version of the game, which were flawed beyond reason or even destructive to your PS3, did not kill this game than I doubt that any issues we are currently having will be DUST's death stroke.
Remeber Checkmate, the game is in flux. Things have been strong, then nerfed, and then strong again. Don't worry, your suit will be amazing again. On that note there is still no reason to get a respec since if you wait a month or two your class of choice will be great again. |

(hypothetical) you're playing mario you have to spend a month to get the frog suit you finally get it without knowing much about it you think you're all set then luigi comes in with the starman power up and wrecks your equal investment with his you say how is that power up so good i wish i could do that stuff he's doing you look at the starman power up and it has all of the features you wanted in the first place before you skilled into frog suit operations level V then you get told live with you're choices in a video game
you then think about how long it will take to unlock the skill you would have rather had then you realize it would take another month out of you're life... then you go play a different game
You've just pointed out the core of my issue with the respec concept. Everyone will end up running a single FOTM set up which, in the end, will be no fun for everyone.
How about we push CCP to balance everything well so that every set up is useful. This would actually increase the diversity of play styles creating a more interesting and fun game for everyone. |
