This is mostly directed to CCP employees but if someone from the community have heard some things or like to contribute to this topic, please fell welcome as always . I have a general question about the delayed content from 1.5 to patch 1.6. You decided to move the vehicle and weapon content probably till the next patch. Now that you have a little more time, can we now expect to see our vehicles lockable? Like Public, Squad, Private? Can we assume to see the stuff from 1.5 AND newer stuff (one part of the original 1.6) in 1.6? Or are you planning to give us mostly the things you moved from originally 1.5 to 1.6? How big if the amount of work you need to balance the original vehicle and weapon content of 1.5? I know it is hard to measure but IGÇÖm just trying to understand the whole range.
The reason IGÇÖm asking all this is very simple: The November patch is probably going to be the last (and sadly the very most exiting) for me.
PS: Two friends of me are buying a PS4 without owning a PS3, they are asking about Dust. IGÇÖm just leaving this here ...

Agreed the November patch is going to be a very crucial one for Dust, as it will be the last chance CCP has to update Dust before the PS4 launches. It's going to need a lot of content and features we've been asking for for a very long time, such as vehicle lock. If they add these new weapons and vehicle changes in addition to part or all of the remaining racial dropsuits and vehicles along with appropriate respecs so players can invest in what they originally wanted to, then you may breathe enough new life into Dust that just might keep some of the new PS4 owners coming back from time to time. |

Fully realised games will keep the crowds, Dust 514 may not be able to drawn the players back without some significant advancements into EVE/Dust Connection, core content releases, fleshed out and fully realised modes of gameplay. |

PS3 had several problems as well, namely the thermal paste as well as fan problems. If you're buying the PS4 on launch- I'm not trying to get on you.
I just know that buying first gen console is not always a good idea. The kinks get worked out after the first gen because essentially the first gen buyers are the end testers. They optimize the console afterwards.
From Nintendo and up, every first gen console had its share of problems. The PSX was known to start carpet fires it ran so hot
Again, wasn't trying to get on you, just passing on some good info to keep in mind. |

Yes, we can! I'm dreaming as well here. It's not that I like to leave Dust for ever, I will pick it up as soon as it hits the PS3, or we see some new motivations to boot Dust back up.

Agreed 1.6 will be crucial. This is something the CPM and CCP should start actively soliciting input for ASAP.
Players need to know when, where and how to provide topical feedback to CCP/CPM - there are multiple channels and it serves noone if we're all contributing in unconnected venues. And, as much as it is awful troll-bait, the conversation should be public.
Until otherwise informed, General Discussion on these forums will be my sole means of communication regarding 1.6.
I want to know where the CPM Charter is at, CCP, and i want to know if CPM0 is a stakeholder for 1.6. If they are, there should be clear communication of the input process for players->CPM->CCP->1.6 final content, with a clear statement of the widow players have for input on what makes it into 1.6.
1.6 is critical, and it's not an opportunity to be lost to poor communication. |

Well considering how far along 1.6 and is almost currently done before testing phases was when they found out 1.5 couldn't handle it, it would make sense to start scheduling it for 1.7 which would probably be the earliest logistical patch to squeeze it in.
So with one set of features moving 1.5 vehicle patch turned into 1.5 NPE patch. |
