Upon activation, this module allows you to sprint faster for a short period of time. This idea just came to me, so I don't have any suggestions for stats. How does the community feel about this idea? I imagine scouts would benefit the most from a module like this, so I'd like to hear their thoughts as well. |

Why? Sprints already have a mechanism. As well as a Skill Tree sub-section. Under Biotecs you can choose Stamina, Melee or Sprint (Kinetic) when sufficiently leveled up which will increase the amount of time you can run, increase melee damage or sprint speed.
Now consider how active modules work in vehicles. They are awkward to use, marginally controllable, commonly will get double bounced thus being turned on then immediately put in cool down time for their entire cycle. Very frustrating. Add those possible actions while in the middle of combat. It will have to occupy an Equip slot. The only ones that have the available room would be a Logi and they have little need to run for long.
I have a Militia Minmatar Scout Fit that can sprint for 30 seconds at nearly 8m/s. How much better would your proposal offer it? In Chromosome I had one that could sprint at 8.34m/s for 45 seconds. Now the SP is too expensive because I have to spend past Melee to get to Kinetic. |

You could use it to quickly close the distance between yourself and the enemy before they notice you. It's true that active modules can be unreliable, but that doesn't make them useless.

Cool idea, but I really can't see it being more useful your passive stamina/sprint booster
Now an active/passive camouflage or a jump-jet module for scouts on the other hand.... |

So, a button to increase the effects of pressing a button?
Why not a sprint enhancer that increases sprint speed until stamina is down to half?
Simpler, less menu confusion, and performs the same function. |

Do I see the value in this? Yes.
Do I want it implemented? No. Doesn't seem all that necessary at the moment (maybe when the maps get bigger then people's view of this item may change).
Would I use it if it was implemented anyway? lol yea, I would. As a scout it's all about using what I got to do the impossible.

sure as long as the free default lav is placed back into game so i can drive for free towards the objective and try to get there before the scout... |
