i lost my lav to a blueberry the other day and had to resort to sitting in the passenger seat. not a big deal as i designed my lav's to be disposable but hardly any fun.
i suggest adding a small racial turret to all lav's as standard and compensating with the necessary pg/cpu. this turret should be forward facing with a 90 degree arc in front of the vehicle
would make being a passenger a bit more fun. |

so here we have tanks, with 3 turrets but no tanker wants any crew to use them and then we have lav's almost always with passengers and you dont want them to have turrets.
its an assault vehicle. its not game breaking for them to have turrets for the crew. if we cant shoot our own weapons from the passenger seat then the least we could have is fitted turrets |

if it comes as standard like all other lav turrets currently do then it costs the driver nothing more, unless they decide to0 stick better ones on.
looks cooler with the extra turret shooting away than it does with the guy sat there doing nothing,
passenger is still bored as he is sat in the vehicle doing nothing to support the vehicle and its crew.
as for jumping out, how do you do that from a moving vehicle |

Also, LAV's don't come standard with turrets. I think the MLT ones do, but otherwise, they don't.
what i don't understand is what the hell GTA has to do with dust at all.
not all of them come with them but thats not to say ccp couldn't add them as standard so as not to increase the cost or hassle in fitting them. even if they did cost more to fit them. you don't have to fit them. if i had a cheap throw away fit or a tanked fit then i wouldnt fit them but if i roam in a squad then this would be highly effective for assaulting positions |

Saves money for the pilot, as well as let's the pilot use the CPU/PG for other things, and the passenger still gets to shoot. Plus, it looks cool. Also, if they finally make the blasters and railguns better, this would be too strong in terms of LAV's vs. infantry. Frankly, I don't feel like hearing people complain about LAV's 24/7 again even though they suck ass at doing their intended roles......
this is not a complain. this is a suggestion. the only person complaining here is you. but that is all you ever do on these forums. quit your everything is bad attitude and actually do something to improve the game instead of complaining 24/7. your constant trolling is getting old.

Godin Thekiller
what is your problem??
you really have a hatred for people suggesting anything new.
please explain to me how adding a use for the passenger on a wafer thin lav which cant sit still or its dead is going to make it op. even if they do buff the turrets. its not going to make anything op.
Godin Thekiller wrote:I didn't say it was. even though the small turrets need a buff, doing this would make them not, because this would overpower them. I don't to see the scrubs complain.
that is just stupid. its like saying if they buff small turrets tanks and dropships are going to be op.
every vehicle apart from lavs has 2 small turrets on them which for most of them never get used yet the only one that would actually benefit from 2 small turrets is the LAV which almost always has passengers.
also your idea of shooting your weapon out of the side but not explosives is just plain stupid and flawed. it would be you screaming bloody murder on the forums when forge and swarmers are firing from the LAV without having to leave it. |

Let's see:
1: The vehicle that people complain about that had way too much eHP for it's killing power, and you want people to do that again? **** that. I don't think so.
2: Like I said, if the passenger is shooting outside the vehicle, then there is no need for another turret. the passenger gets to shoot, and the pilot gets to save ISK and resources. plus, it would be inaccurate, so balance would be fine. 3: the small turret on the front of the HAV's can't aim down that very far (or up), and they only have a 60 degree view. The top one can't aim down at all, so their aim is restricted.
4: The Dropships are usually moving, and at a decent height, so it's a little bit inaccurate.
So those two things will hinder them. No.
lets see:
1) the way too much ehp for its killing power was 100% down to its ability to drive over anything and kill it and nothing to do with its turret. that is fixed now but the single turret is still weak to the point of uselessness.
2)but if there was a forward turret there would be no need to shoot out the side of the vehicle, the passenger gets to shoot, "IF THE DRIVER CHOOSES" not to fit the turret he saves isk. plus, it would be inaccurate, so balance would be fine.and what is your view on firing swarms which have no diminished accuracy down to movement from the side of a fast moving lav
3) might be a 60 degree up and down but it is not side to side which is where it counts.
4)LAVS are always moving at high speed so its very inaccurate. unless they stop in which case they are a sitting duck for any sort of av or small arms fire. |
