Hello Devs,
I have been playing for about a month and a half so far and I am very much enjoying your game. I am looking forward to the squad finder utility, hopefully it will result in new friendships and more organized games.
I have noticed that, even after only a month and a half, it takes me a whole cycles worth of SP to afford any skill I would like. I grind my cap any week I can find the time, but I realize many don't have that luxury. For them, it may take a month to afford a higher tier skill.
I would like to suggest a reactive active SP system. Easentially, your weekly cap would grow as you do. It would stay as is up until one has earned a certain amount of SP, let's say 4 million, after which your cap would be 1/20th of all SP earned. So, 200K for the sake of this example.
In addition, your SP earned would be calculated as a percentage of your overall cap. For a battle in which you perform well you may earn 5% whereas for a battle in which you do poorly you can earn 0.5% (if you got 0 WP) and everything in between.
In this way, 20 good battles in a week would achieve your cap no matter what that number is. In this way vets and new players could always be able to afford their skills.
I would suggest there be a max cap, perhaps when people reach 10 million total SP earned, keeping the max weekly active cap at 500k. |

Some good ideas here--but I wonder if the current system isn't in place to deliberately keep people only slowly acquiring points.
I've only been playing a couple months as well, and I'm running out of things to bump up to level 3 :)
typically, the 3 --> 4 means 2-3 weeks of grind suddenly. Since advancement is a big draw for me, I may just wind up posting up and playing another game while passive sp accrues.
Bummer--I prefer to PLAY a game to advance! |

I'm a little tired so I apologise in advance if I'm interpreting it wrong, but wouldn't this just increase the gap between new and old players? If so; we should be doing the polar opposite. The cap should be larger for newer players and smaller for older players to try and curb the current inequalities. At 6m SP, why should I need more per week than somebody at 500k? |

Exactly what I thought, the more SP you have the more SP you would have the ability to gain each week. Idea rejected, sorry. |
