It's as if I am a mind reader for CCP or something, and unfortunately every single time I'm waiting in anticipation for something CCP (shanghai) is developing, they always either cut out pieces of what they initially were saying was coming, or just completely eliminate it all-together. This, is the entire case for vehicle pilots in Dust. Now, before i get a bunch of rants on how they are just taking more time on making it "perfect", I beg you to recollect all of the past updates, and understand that nearly all of them were being anticipated by CCP months before their actual release, which gave them the time that many coders would need to actually make a really well-constructed update, however CCP has since proven that they can never get the update right the first time.
So why delay the vehicle updates in 1.5? Because we all know that what truly makes a "well rounded" update is not what's released initially to the community, but what's formed by a lot of constructive criticism of the flaws in whatever they decide to put out, I mean lets face it, that's what makes these forums so useful. Now, i know by posting this I won't change a thing in what's included in 1.5 since they decided to completely remove vehicle updates last-minute on 1.5, but i just wish that CCP Shanghai would reach an understanding that they need to just release what they say their going to release, and from there start their tedious updates to their drastic changes to Dust. By doing that, it would possibly increase the time new content arrives, but that all truly depends on the competence of CCP's developing team. |

Well, in the past they have made changes that weren't wanted from the community. The goal here is to release the all the info and get feedback early to eliminate unnecessary/wanted changes. |

If vehicle users are very, very lucky then it won't come in 1.6 either.
What truly needs to happen to vehicles can't be developed in such a short time span.
It needs a REAL revamp and a working capacitor, not the fresh coat of ghetto paint Wolfman was talking about. |

They have a load of work to do to implement the change they want to make.
They realise they won't have the work completed by the release date.
They have to choose: release a partial implementation, or slip to the next release.
They chose the former. Probably because a lot of the required changes were interdependent and couldn't be released without the others. |

Given us our PG skill back, or, I don't know, make it so we don't have to put turrets on our vehicles?
But, I'm sure they'll slip in limited ammo without putting it in the patch notes. |

If they release vehicle updates that are so sub-par they don't even get through their own QA team, they'll p*ss off so many vehicle users that most will just leave and never come back. I'd rather they at least do a little filtering of absolute cr*p at the very first QA stage. |
