Im loving the new NPE idea! With objectives that people have to achieve in battle. But how about expanding that into something more for all players? Here's what I mean:
An award system. But one that keep on rewarding. For every time you complete one of the objectives you get a reward; ISK, SP, AUR, Officer Weapons.
- 0/1,000 Kills - -- - 0/10,000 Kills - -- - 0/100,000 Kills - -- - 0/1,000,000 Kills
- 0/1,000 Assists - -- - 0/10,000 Assists - -- - 0/100,000 Assists - -- - 0/1,000,000 Assists
- 0/100 Headshots - -- - 0/1,000 Headshots - -- - 0/10,000 Headshots - -- - 0/10,000 Headshots
- 0/100 Road Kills - -- - 0/1,000 Road Kills - -- - 0/10,000 Road Kills - -- - 0/100,000 Road Kills
I mean that's just a few examples of what you could do.
Tier it to add difficulty. And once you reach the last tier it could either stop(probably) or restart.
You could even go further into the design and set up paths for people to follow. The UI would be similar to that of the Skills page (Except SQUARES with four sides and four points). And completing one point into the "Kills" opens up "Headshots" and "Road Kills". And completing one point into the, "LAV Kill" opens up "Dropship Kill" and "Tank Kill". ect...
I think this could even be used as a training tool! By forcing players to kill LAV's before they try to solo a tank.
It would add a lot more into the game without adding a heavy amount to CCP's workload. And personally, I'm a total achievement *****. I would play and play and play to max out everything.
Anyway Give ideas of what you think about this, and any suggestions on what you think good objective would be to add. |

Perhaps a copy of the Borderlands 2 challenges system, whereby you gain modest stat increases for meeting in-game achievements such as kills, revives etc? They'd have to be tiny compared to skill increases, but rewarding players a little for doing what they do best is always a powerful motivator to excel further. Gone from the market yeah, but It would be nice to reintroduce them in some form. |
