I fist noticed this early in 1.4, when my newly buffed armor suits were being one-shotted by grenades at full health. So I did some testing.
First Test: Standard suit 217 Shield 422 Armor/Locus Grenade 400 Damage I cooked a Locus grenade in my hand untl it exploded. I ended up with 147 Armor. Thus the grenade dealt 217 Shield and 147 Armor Damage. Taking those numbers in the same suit, I relesed the nade immediately before it exploded. I was dropped to 35 Armor. The grenade dealt 217 Shield and 387 Armor Damage
Second Test: Proto suit 398 Shield 774 Armor/M1 Locus Grenade 500 Damage Cooking the locus grenade dropped me to 771 Armor, so it dealt 398 Shield and 3 Armor Damage Relesing the nade right before it exploded left me with 476 Armor resulting in 398 Shield and 298 Armor Damage
Third Test: Proto Suit 398 Shield 774 Armor/Sleek Locus Grenade 200 Damage Cooking the locus grenade dropped me to 238 Shield, so it dealt 160 Shield Damge Relesing the nade right before it exploded left me with 157 Shield resulting in 241 shield damage.
Fourth Test: Proto Suit 253 Shield 774 Armor//M1 Locus Grenade 500 Damage Cooking the locus grenade dropped me to 553 Armor, so it dealt 253 Shield and 221 Armor Damage Relesing the nade right before it exploded left me with 258 Armor resulting in 253 Shield and 516 Armor Damage
The math on the shiled damage from the Sleek test indicates that the shield damage multiplier is 80% Which means that the Armor multiplier is 120% Going by these calculations the Locus grenade dealt a base 593 Damage, The M1 Dealt a base 745 in the second test and 746 in the fourth test and the Sleek dealt a base 301. These are around 50% damage buffs to the base damage of each grenade.
My grenade skill is at level 4 so I didn't test core locus grenades. Is this a bug, or is this by design? |

This has been known for some time. Its not a bug, explosive rip armour apart. |

This isn't just against Armor, but shield too, look at my sleek test. It dealt 241 damage to shields. With an 80% multiplier, that implies a base damage of 301 which never touched armor. |

I didn't take that into account. Does that mean that there is a 150% headshot multiplier on grenades? |

Seems a bit overpowered if thats the case. All you have to do is cook a grenade long enough to ensure it explodes in the air, and a "headshot" is all but guaranteed.
Given that, the large radius, and the number of grenades carryable I think they are a bit silly right now. |

Does that mean that there is a 150% headshot multiplier on grenades? well my proto suit can be OHKO by a well cooked core locus that has down over 1k damage supposed to be 600? (800ehp suit omni tanked) |
