The "Burnscar" Khanid Scrambler Pistol was an Aurum-only Prototype Scrambler Pistol (I say "was" because it's not sold anymore). Interestingly, it doesn't have easier fitting requirements, you still need operation 5 to use it. So, why spend Aurum on a weapon that's the same as an ISK proto pistol?
Well, it's "different" supposedly - the description says it's a Ruby-Gold variant rarely seen outside the Kingdom.
So, you pay "real" money to have a gun that looks different cosmetically. However, this gun (again, no longer sold) doesn't have a ruby-gold appearance as far as I can tell:

Same gun, light is shining on it more directly in the first shot. I may not be an interior decorator, but I don't think that gun would be called "Ruby-Gold" by anyone without severe vision problems. This means people have effectively paid money for nothing as the Viziam would've provided the same stats without requiring real money. |

Having a totally pointless AUR product isn't the end of the world compared to other issues, but I'd assume you just don't have the right texture tagged for this firearm... |

Since they bumped it off the market (it was literally just a cosmetic item, since it required full rank 5 OP), this a fix almost entirely for people that already bought it back in the day.
Perhaps a fix would make it more meaningful to add it back to the market. |
