Ok, first how the f*** do people know when I'm behind them? Does it have something to do with scanning? I will walk up behind a guy and then he will just do a 180 and start shooting at me like he somehow knew I was there....kinda pisses me off especially when I didn't shoot, and I get shot in the back all the time from shotgunners and other guys that sneak up on me but it never shows them on the map. I just don't understand it.
Also with sniping (this reaaaaaally grinds my gears) sometimes when I am trying to counter snipe another sniper, I will literally get hit markers and see his shield flash, but nothing else, he takes no damage and doesn't even seem to notice he is being shot. This happens to me so much and it is really getting annoying,. I end up wasting two clips getting nothing but these bs hit markers just to have to re-position slightly for my shots to all of a sudden magically work and get the kill.
Also it really seems like this game has some of the stupidest players, no offense to anyone in particular but after watching many people walk past enemy spawners (don't know what they are called at the moment) just to get shot in the back, or get shot in the back from a guy that just spawned on one of the spawners, kill him, leave the spawner, and have it repeat again, it just seems stupid. Also I have been in quite a few matches recently where after we just hacked the objective a couple of enemies will come in and hack it back while everyone just leaves???? Like wtf? That makes no sense....
Also to the jacka** that spawned his stupid HAV on my 500,000+ isk dropship.....well...I hate you....sooooo much.
There are so many other things that I am confused about and would like to know more about but I just can't think of them right now. If anyone could respond with USEFUL information, stories, or advice that would be great. |

Whatever Architect, I just don't understand how these things work, you were the only one that wasn't helpful.
To everyone else thank you so much, I understand scanning a lot better now, but I'm still confused about the sniping part. I know what you said is true that being so far away there might be objects in front of him that I don't see, but I actually take that in to account every time. The main time that I remember this happening to me was when I was on this high hill or mountain and I looked down at a guy sniping my team mates from right outside this building. I shot two clips into him and he didn't notice, took two or three steps to the left and hit him twice but didn't kill him, there for sure was nothing in the way and nothing in between us. Even if there was I don't think 2 or 3 steps would have been enough to move out of the way of it.
To the guy that asked about the dropship. I made a guy and immediately used all of my sp to get assault dropships. I sent the extra isk from my sniper to him to buy them. Dropships are pretty fun to fly, but not fun to lose or have to buy back again and again.
On my sniper I'm going straight for the charge sniper I only need about 45-50k sp more until I can get it but I guess I hit my cap for the week because I'm only getting as much as I get in warpoints :(
Chase Rowland, I dunno if it was you but I forgive you, like Spkr4theDead said its not like you could even help it.

Yeah CommanderBolt that is exactly what I'm talking about. Like I know for sure there is nothing in the way because either I know nothing is there on the map or I just check to make sure. One time though this guy kept spawning back at the same reanimation unit to kill me and I kept killing him. But the last time he spawned there he ran behind this huge crate, crouched and scooted to the edge with his sniper. I aimed right for where his head would be if he kept scooting but he stopped with only part of his arm and foot sticking out. Instead of shooting his arm or foot I decided to wait till I saw his head, next thing I know he headshots me without ever showing his whole body it was weird haha.
Yeah this game can be really annoying at times but its overall pretty fun. My friend and I are using mass drivers and we love them. Great blast radius and decent damage. They are pretty badass. I should be getting my charge sniper tomorrow though so its back to sniping for a while. Thanks anyways guys, for everything. |
