The reveal for EVE's Rubicon expansion got me thinking today:
Although we are getting monthly updates now in DUST, will we still be getting full fledged expansions as well? Or has that idea been entirely scrapped since monthly updates stated rolling around?

You can tell that they are throwing as much as they can as fast as they can at us so I wouldn't expect sudden big changes to things that are already being iterated monthly (I don't think they would be holding back). That being said I believe that there are at least some teams or some projects that are working with bigger time frames for game development, like 3 months or bigger, and that when these get ready we could see some pretty interesting stuff - stuff that might be thrown in 2.0.
So, yeah, I believe that we will have a couple interesting new features with the next expansion, but I wouldn't expect too much because most of their resources are tied to monthly cycles. |

The monthly updates were supposed to be for a limited time, though we weren't told how long they would continue. Stands to reason there would be expansions, especially since the monthly updates are 1.2, 1.3, 1.4, etc. If these were not just iterations on the expansion we have now, why not have them numbers 2, 3, 4, etc? |

@Monkey: Inquiry, not a demand.
@Aleksander: Intuition tells me that there are resources being thrown at bigger things behind the scenes, as the whole game couldn't have been made by the people rolling out the monthly stuff (one new suit, a handful of new weapons, no new vehicle models yet, etc. in 5-6 months). |

well heard w might have a 1.7 update too soo it might be a while before we have an expansion.
but i would rather CCP fix most of the current issues and solidify the foundation THEN have content filled expansions. |
