I think once there's a Combat and Precision rifle (that is, more Minmatar light weapons than sidearms), then it gets kinda silly to have a sidearm assault bonus coming from the same race with two rifles and the mass driver. Maybe they can change it to Minmatar-weapon magazine-size bonus or projectile weapon magazine-bonus. |

As an SMG user, I LOVE the side-arm magazine capacity bonus. That said, if it changed to a general weapon magazine capacity bonus, I'd be ok with that too. |

It'd be a nerf in the sense of not being able to use your bonus for sidearms outside of Minmatar ones...

Another possibility is they'd nerf the MD at the same time as making the change. You know how some people note that using Scramblers or Laser Rifles on non-Amarr suits is suboptimal? Perhaps that's an idea they'd like to run with. If you want to use {blank} you must use X-race for best results, repeat for other racial weapons.

Run an ishikune assault SMG and a TT-3 assault scrambler pistol. And get good with them, you won't regret it. |

Smgs and other sidearms are fine without that clip bonus, it's really superfluous especially at Proto level.. It's not as significant compared to the Cal assaults bonus. I remember someone suggesting bonus to biotic modules which would be pretty neat. |

On certain maps a buddy of mine will run tank patrol in an Ishukone Watch Saga LAV with Proto SL & FG. When we're using the SMGs it isn't funny how much sustained damage he can put out. |

With improved hit detection I think it matters even less as more of the shots land and kil before th bonus ammo can becom a factor, when you shoot st someone from full shields. I think it should be something better. I picked the suit cause of all the high slots and passive armor rep, not that silly bonus |
