So when I say indigenous, you probably go "What has this merc been snorting?". Well....other than a couple narcotics and supplements, good ideas!
So, my vision for a possible future of Dust 514 would be indigenous populations of not just vegetation, but animals! You will have to fight pvp, but also pve. This could be from the rare stompy stomp stomp giant bear horse hybrid creature, to a swarm of pesky little dog like insects. These will happen from any planet that isn't completely colonized or industrialized. So if your playing on a desert like planet with some infrastructure but not a lot, you might get some heard of monsters that will come into your area and kill a couple of you randomly, then leave or you kill them before hand. If you're in a jungle, then you better get ready to kill some fast moving swarm logic creatures! Maybe this could be a support ability, like an "indigenous lure" that attracts animals to congregate in an area for some time and kill EVERYTHING.
Now, about Weather:
I think Dust 514 deserves weather, maybe somebody said it somewhere....but it needs weather or dynamics. If you use a planetary bombardment on a sandy area, you could have sand kick up in the air and block vision to nearby people. If you shoot it down in a rainy environment, maybe lightning will come and start shocking the area more than usual. Just something dynamic that changes the way the game is played. Also, WE GOTTA PLAY ON A TITAN SHIP, NAOW.....DO IT CCP! DO IT NAOW. |

A battle to take control of a ship sounds really cool.
I like your animals idea. As for weather I want to see strong winds that kick up dust, making it hard to see. These winds could also affect how dropships fly. Or rainy weather that really make a mess of everything. Tanks and Lav's getting stuck in the mud or keep sliding down hills etc. |

Could also slow down heavies, medium soldiers, reintroducing a need of quick feet scout suits! Then again, if this does get implemented, maybe the scout would have already made a comeback.
Weather plays a large part in every game. I know this is sounding very BF4-like, but CCP, I'm pretty sure you can do a little something. The weather doesn't have to be SUPER SEXY, just something that changes the game, like rain that wets terrain, sand storms that harden vision or mess up components, and night time. Night time would be interesting since it makes stealth a factor. You can sneak up a lot easier. |

Yeah a lot of people have thought about it, for example: Titan ship crashes or gets destroyed in space, Dust 514 corp is sent to recover, or take over the ship. The Dust 514 corp can either hold it ransom, give it back to the payer of the mission, or use it if they have Eve connections.
Another thing I'd like to see is boarding parties. Eve players could pilot a ship or launch an AI breach-ship filled with dusters, depending on the success of the ship, they will land on a Titan or a big enough ship and knock out components, one round=one component. Component being turrets, shields, etc... . Let's make an example: "A Titan is being boarded by an enemy Dust team of 4 soldiers, the soldiers make their way in the tight corridors and long hallways into a gunnery room, unfortunately, a team of 16 dust soldiers are holding the fort and doing their best to take them out. Another boarding party breaches the ship closer nearby and 8 more soldiers pour into the newly started firefight. Now the war is not only waged outside the ship, but on the inside too." eh? Eeeehhhhhhh? Wadya think? |
