I look at things more like this:
We think of ideas, throw them around internally and with people on IRC, forums, the CSM, that kind of stuff.
Then forum threads are for discussing things.
Then after all feedback dev blogs for confirming things, hopefully with time left for iterating based on dev blog feedback.
Also, I ramble a lot on IRC. 90% of it is lies. So yea... I wouldn't take much from this...
Or maybe I am just trying damage control now... WHO KNOWS!
Can't we lock threads for rumors or something?

Can't we lock threads for rumors or something? Only if they're unsubstantiated rumours  But seriously guys. Patience. You'll hear from CCP Foxfour and the rest of Team True Grit soon enough.
