Railguns Need to be somehow fixed or removed
Just that its also anoying when you get a tanks well his own redline and its just no way to kill them I love flying assault dropships but i always get shot down by then and i cant fly above and atttack them cause i cant go into their area even if u had a squad of blaster tanks isnt silly they all get held off by one railgun tank just because he so far away and no possable way to get close them them
Dont Anyone else find railguns silly?

The problem is more with redline mechanic than rail tanks.
Also rendering
~Losing a million isk to an invisible enemy in a few seconds is bad. ~Nearly losing a million ISK to an invisible enemy then flying over to find out you cannot physically even kill them, so they'll be sitting there the whole game sniping you with a large turret anywhere you go is also bad. ~Having to put away your vehicle, else lose it, because you cannot kill an invisible large rail turret firing at you because it's in a magically protected zone that blows you up for flying near is also bad.

I'm all for no aerial redzone outside small rail range +25meters of enemy base spawn points and the enemy MCC. It would make drop ships more sensible to fly around and give the ability to potentially deal with things such as the redline cowards. |

Battles would be more exciting! also tank battles i mean Blaster tank vs blaster tank is way more exciting than rail tank vs rail tank... including see more dropships in battle to
and then make a matlia large missil launcher for the matlia sica and they need to some somthing about though proto forge guns to |

Taking them out would be terrible, there is nothing wrong with them. Don't fly if you don't like them.
Example: I used to fly on Manus Peak, until the Missile Turret was constantly shooting me whenever I was in it's sight. So I stopped flying on Manus Peak. |

Not Really if enemy get redline or not you get peopler railgunning all the time
and usally railguns are horrible when they redlining someone they shoot down tank and stuff that getting sent down at there ground spawn or below mmc |

Well every type has it's nemesis and the OP is asking to remove or "fix" away his nemesis so that he's going to get a free ride on the sky.
Yea, you can get a a rail tank fitted with relatively cheap under 300k, but then that Sica/Soma will blow up really easily with swarms or forge guns. Tougher tanks are naturally more durable, but still can be dealt with if not completely destroyed then at least scared away with the same tools.
A pilot flying around with his one million assault dropship is by no means easily shot down with forge guns or swarm as they can outmaneuver the swarms and forge guns aren't capable of accurate repeated fire on the long range in order to bring them down before they can fix themselves. Therefore the only real threat to them are the overlooking rail tanks with their long range cannons. It just happens to be that those high up mountains happen to be in many cases on the red zone and thus they are the only places reasonable for a rail tank to prowl. Rail gun is by no means close range weapon as it cannot handle infantry that well.
Yes I can understand the frustration the OP has, but then as a tanker I'm equally frustrated when my rail/blaster tank is blown up by forge gunners, swarmers or even other rail tanks outside my awareness. I'm also very much annoyed by the fact that a tank has no means whatsoever to hit a dropship hovering right above it dropping it's missiles on me without any risk of retaliation. That's just the way it is, all we can do is to adjust and adapt our gameplay to the situation the best we can. |

I dont think removing a weapon/turret is the correct fix. Should we remove droship turrets because if you get a tank in a pickle you can actually destroy them?
Yesterday my friend and I got a prometheus out, started taking out turrets, started killing a few people then BOOM, massive hit from their redline. Retreat, rethink. Rather than say thats OP or ruining the game we went hunting, took one, then he called in a new one and went way the hell back in the redline.
At this point, you don't call in another dropship, thats just pointless.
So the reality is, vehicle players need to learn to assess the battlefield before throwing big investments out, look for known tankers, FG, swarmers on the teamsheets. There are maps I won't even bring my limbus out on, due to the knowledge it will go pop. Vehicles don't have free reign, and should expect to have, even if in the air. |
