Seriously, how comes all planets have the same gravity???
I would really consider for future maxi-updates, adding a gravity factor in battles.
Anyone agrees? |

the reason the gravity is the same on these planets we fight on atm is because there all the same class of planet with the same properties, how ever there are more then just calm temperate planets in eve its only a matter of time before differnt types of planets are incorperated into dust, only once new planet classes are introduced will gravity become a factor if at all. |

This is incorrect, the temperate planets in DUST are still a variety of sizes, and hence, have a variety of gravity values. The interesting thing, is that the EVE server already stores a gravitational constant for each planet, but DUST isn't using it yet. |

+1, you just made me imagine a heavy jumping over a building than flying to a high grav planet! |

It'd be interesting, because it'd add a whole 'nother point of differentiation between light. medium, and heavy suits. |

Gravity would be hilarious. Also, it'd be a nice way of differentiating matches. You spawn, and you do an experimental bounce. Barely get off the ground? Oh, it's high-grav. Fly away over that tower over there? It's low grav, adjust your tactics accordingly. |

+1 for the hilarity factor, but I can hear the enraged screams of MD users ringing in my ears already. |

Imagine if we got 0G environments, if they allowed us to rotate our bodies in the air and gave us interior spaces it could lead to some seriously cool gameplay, think of one group of Merc's standing on the floor while another group of Merc's stand on the ceiling and they're having a firefight, add in Newtonian physics and suddenly a heavy has a makeshift jet pack. For those who don't understand that last point this article should prove an interesting and amusing read http://what-if.xkcd.com/21/ |

One would assume this information would be readily available in the UI. Low/Normal/High Gravity noted before you spawn. |

If I were a CCP dev, I would make sure to provide such information in the loading screen and in the NeoCom if already deployed into battle. And AFAIK, there are no planets with sudden gravity changes...
Anyway, I'm trying to imagine what would happen with bigger gravity, like 2x or even 4x, where you basically can't jump and even falling from a few meters would result in using the air-breakes (just like when dropping from the MCC). Bullets should also be affected... oh man, that opens to a wide array of possibilities! |

Bullets wouldn't be affected notably. Space ammo is cool like that. Though the projectiles all would. |

Regular bullets could have DMG reduced when range increases, while laser would probably turn its trajectory in an arch'd one; yet I realize this would affect only a long range attack, which actually doesn't happen in Dust. Grenades would fall earlier, both the thrown and the shot ones.

A battle with zero gravity would be interesting... you would have to manually activate/deactivate the "PGS" (Personal Gravity System) which allows you to walk normally. The cool thing is when you deactivate it, you can literally fly. |
