I find it pretty sad that people get offended over words, especially when its not directed at them.

Though I do what to add.
People do get offended by words. I don't know about you, but we have gotten into fist fights over words. Have you not been irritated by the mom that wont watch her child in a grocery store? That obstinate child who is just screaming over something? Not over hear a conversation with a dude with his girl? You can hear it in his tone of voice that he just verbally slapped her?
So in other words, hearing someone call another (F.A.G.) even if it wasn't directed at you, can be a little disheartening. Why in previous cultures this was seen as bad, cultures/ civilization that are now long since dead and gone, this was seen as bad among them, but some how, in our more of a modern society that insulting ones way of life...is ok....
It doesnt bother me in the least, I just ignore it, not my problem. |

It has its place and derogatory remarks is one of those places. Words are offensive and hurtful when the meaning and the vitriol behind it is obvious. As a gay man myself I would rather have people stand with me if I have to call out a dickhead (calling a person a *** or a situation gay is a dickish thing to do.) Than do it on my own which is hard, upsetting and can be very lonely if no one else stands with you. I hope that more stand with me and others who are openly gay than don't. I hope that we, the community as a whole, can look past the idea of 'its only trolling' and block and report people like this for bullying to CCP.
I find it sad that you are so weak then, where I grew uo if you needed someone to stand by you were kicked down. Too many people in this day in age have become weak little babies. Grow up, if you cant deal with a word then dont use the internet and dont leave the plastic bubble you must live in.
