Actually it's a war game. Having different methods of killing opponents is a good thing. Keeps people thinking. If there were ways of killing using World Hazzards (such as overloading a shield generator for a bridge over lava so people on the bridge fry till the shield comes online again) I would definitely plan on how to lure people into such traps. |

You need to be running at a good pace to "Kill" a trooper, Otherwise you bounce off to the side. - Your in Power armor after all.
2 LAVs ramming head one at max speed will kill both LAVs..... I count that as a win since There were 2 people in the enemy LAV and I was alone in mine.
I feel they are operating as balanced.
If you can hop out at the last second they'll still explode, but you won't be in the car. |

Hope you are not comparing running people over as well developed plan. I agree variety is good, but driving around in an indestructible jeep and running over people being an effective strategy to win a match not so much. It just gets silly seeing a bunch a soldiers on a battle field throw down their guns and do nothing but run people over. If it was a once in a while thing when the circumstances allowed ok, but all the time? I don't argue that you should not be able to run people over, but it should not be the level that murder taxis once was. You are being rather over-aggressional about a level of combat effectiveness that is no longer present in the game. While your fixation on that branch of the topic is intriguing, we are in no way suggesting the reincarnation of said traits, hence your self expression leads to much internal deliberation upon the status of the discourse. |

I am actually wondering if they rebuffed them a bit. I have actually run over folk at not that great a speed and I literally saw a vehicle stop about 5 meters behind me, I turned to run and it still killed me (maybe if they pin you to a wall it auto kills though - that may have happened)
If you can get a slight "jump" onto a target you can squash them or shove them into a wall for the same effect. All vehicles can do this as far as I know. And for ground based vehicles there are very specific areas which it can be done, which means you have to heard a target to the "killzone" if you want to glomp-kill them. I like it better than the old method (which I abstained from except for one game where I tried it from curiosity, got 4 kills in 10 seconds then promptly drove into a wall haha) because the jumps actually take knowledge of the map and enemy motion to perform.
I did this with a tank once, an AV guy ran around a hill so i drove over the top of it, and as the tank see-sawed down it crushed him. |
