I have an alt with 8m SP and I spent them almost entirely on skills "geared" towards the Commando Suit. A few humble suggestions.
Standard slots: 0 high & 0 low
Advanced slots: 1 high & 1 low
Prototype slots: 2 high & 2 low
***Standard and Advanced are currently fine IMO, but Proto needs an additional low slot as currently 2 high and 1 low is just not quite enough to keep competitive.
The speed of the suit needs a slight buff, not huge, but just a little bit more...
Otherwise, I really like the suit. |

Oh, and change the commando suit bonus to 3% reduction to Light/Sidearm CPU/PG usage. That's much more fitting for the suits role than reload speed.
I am curious to see what each racial variant of the commando suit has as a bonus, I think the reload speed is a good bonus for one of the races.
Possibly:
Amarr = increased reload speed
Caldari = increased efficency of damage mods
Galente = reduction of CPU/PG
Minmatar = increased sprint speed and stamina

That just seems like such a great combo! But I see a lot of QQ threads about the Commando suit. It's not clear to me why it's disregarded; Even this forum says it's "almost" good enough. Is the lack of modules that devastating? As a logi, I've been running around with very few, but I have built in repair, so I don't think I have a fair baseline.
I just like the offensive combo of bonus to shield and bonus to armor damage in weapons. Enough to spend points? Reading these makes me wonder about another bad investment.
Again, I did this suit on an alt, in its current state I would not recommend spending SP on. However, add a low slot and a slight speed bonus abd then it becomes worth it IMO. |
