More information is needed for me to answer this question. Do you have a race in mind already? Are you looking to move towards being a LogiBro (healer) or a slayer Logi (gun-focused) or a utility/combat engineer Logi (ammo/explosives)? |

That depends.
The first major decision you have to make is what race's logistics you want to use - Amarr, Caldari, Gallente, or Minmatar.
The Amarr Logistics is the only one with a sidearm. It can armour tank solidly with a good shield tank as well. Three equipment slots.
The Caldari Logistics primarily shield tanks but can fit an auxiliary armour tank as well. It has lots of slots - the slot layout is 5/4.
Three equipment slots.
The Gallente Logistics is an armour tanker. It can fit arguably the best armour tank in the game, but lacks shields and tends to be slow. Four equipment slots.
The Minmatar Logistics can use both types of tank. It has a versatile 4/4 slot layout with four equipment slots. It is also the fastest.

I would suggest a light weapon of your choice, then for equipment, an active scanner, and a nanohive.
For mods, If you want to be more gun focused, then for high slots, you should put a damage mod or two, then save the rest for HP mods, because I know for a standard cladari logi that you cannot have the greatest amount of HP. |

As an Amarr Logi user, I can honestly say that they do not have a very good shield tank. They are not the dual tankers of Dust. |

All of them can be gun focused logis, especially Amarr and Caldari. While I haven't specced into amarr logi, looking at the stats on the Amarr logi, the sidearm is looking really good (especially combo'd with a specialised light weapon like Plasma Cannon or Swarms). |

at basic level... dont use it. stick to militia gear. at advanced level, stack complex shield mods and 2x basic plates with a gek, m1 grenade, adv quantum scanner, and w/e other equip u want to fit. a nanohive is a must if you are soloing combat-centric.
proto...well... by the time u use proto you shouldn't have to ask me for advice on how to fit it. also see "The logi code" thread in this forum. |

I based my opinion on the Amarr assault. It's the one I'm least familiar with, honestly. Thanks for the correction. |

Disagree- on an ADV ALogi you can get 300 shields without too much trouble. Is it a 500-shield caldari suit? No, but it's respectable when combined with 400+ armor.
For the STD ALogi, 1 complex + 1 basic puts you at about 220 shields, or slightly more than the base of a Cal Assault, with about 370 armor too. That sounds pretty hybrid tanky to me.

Amarr Logi A-1
STD AR
STD SMG
Locus Grenade
1x Complex Shield Extender
1x Basic Shield Extender
2x Basic Armor Plates
A-45 Quantum Active Scanner
K-2 Nanohive
Alternately, switch the nanohive with a stable drop uplink and upgrade the grenade to M/1.
