I was wondering if it was against the rules to create multiple profiles and on a daily basis create new characters, transfer the 250,000 isk to a main character, then bio mass said new character.
One profile can reap about 1.5 million isk per day.
Just wondering if it was legal. |

you could do. or you could play one game in that 10hour biomass time and rake in the same amount without the biomassing |

Pretty sure it is fine as long as you do it on your main profile. The game gives you that possibility and you could actually just run an alt in militia gear and earn much much more to tranfer to your main, even going 30-0 every match.
Doing that on multiple accounts is a potential exploit. |

Just wondering if it was legal. you could make that 1.5 million isk easier other ways.
But to answer your question: Yes it's against the rules. |

You could easily make that much isk running a free fit in a game that lasts less than 30mins, so what's the point in trying to get on over on the whole isk transfer thing? |

True but in those 30 min, if I have 6 profiles, I could potentially make 4.5 million isk. But as others have pointed out, its against the rules so I won't be using it. (Too much time invested in character to get banned) |

There has to be something else they check because I could just give it to my friend and then he could donate to our corp and then I could just take it back. Unless of course there is something that keeps track of the original MAC address of ISK moved. This is one of those things that has many loopholes |

Are you really that desperate to make isk without playing the game? I haven't seen anything in the EULA that states this is against the rules but it's just not worth it anyway. With just one profile I can earn 1.5M isk easily in 2 hours or less with a free fit as well as earn 30k SP and maybe a handful of salvage too. |

I have not seen anything explicitly stating that this would break any rules. And given CCP's history, I doubt they would waste time enforcing it if it was.
I guess you could do this to make a little isk on the side but really, who needs isk in this game? And more importantly, who can't make more isk actually playing the game for an hour or so? If you want to waste your time and energy go right ahead. |

Each profile can have up to 3 characters. 6profiles*3characters*250= 4.5 million isk in about 30 minutes, I'd say that's pretty good. |

Considering i make 350k+ ISK per game, doing that would be time consuming and not fun, not even ISK effective...

That will technically be considered an exploit by CCP. They have rules against Eve Online players who do this and it could land you a one-way ticket to the ban hammer.

@Crow Splat
If you think they won't waste their time enforcing their rules, think again. CCP has a whole security team that has built upon ten years of experience hunting MACRO/BOT users and RMT ring leaders using complex tracking methods. They can even figure out and link accounts that you have that you think are safe from the ban hammer in ways you don't expect. Take a look at the BOT forums throughout the internet. Many of those cheaters were completely taken by surprise often times some of the BOT users tend to give up and just go legit by ACTUALLY PLAYING THE GAME in Eve Online.
I'm pretty sure they can readily enforce their rules on something as trivial as throw-away-alt transfers. |

The fact the avarege player earns 200K is, doing the whole ALT char thing to earn 250k isk is not an effective way of grinding. 2 AMbush matches of 5 minutes net you on avarege 380k + ISK, so yeah. I dont think its Illegal, nor smart.... |

well at least the ip addy and besides the one thing ccp does well is collecting data and using it to fight abuse, I mean char made isk transferred and then bio-massed always to one guys is pretty easy to track.

One more thing... everything that you're doing is tracked in the Tranquility server. If they catch you doing this, there is a good possibility that your ISK will get confiscated without any notice to you while your account gets banned. They are not afraid to confiscate corp-wide assets either. CCP has instituted a new rule just last year or so stating that if any of the corporations or alliances in Eve are found guilty of an exploit, then whatever gains those entities made at the corp or alliance level will get removed or reversed. |

Every single isk in Dust or Eve online is tracked. Its how they catch isk bots in Eve easily. |

To be honest here, I do it because I'm low on isk and don't have enough money to pay for my expensive equipment. I run the best logistics suit I have all the time. I usually die about 5 times each match (more than that if its a tough battle). With this process, I usually have about 500,000 isk each time I play dust. Yeah shame on me. |

This is a thing people do?
Really?
It'd be much easier to just run some starter fits for free. more than 100k a match.
I understand trying to game the system, but this just isn't worth it. It doesn't matter if its legal, it'd be so tedious I wouldn't want to. |

I e-mailed Dust Support about this very issue-
MESSAGE HISTORY: Original ticket @ 2013-08-25 21:42:00: Hey guys,
I have spoke to you once already about multiple PSN accounts (ticket number ********-*******-********), but I have a new question.
I was wondering what the views were on using multiple PSN accounts to farm ISK. I have heard through the grapevine that you can make multiple PSN accounts, farm ISK in the Academy, and upon "graduation" send all the ISK to your main account, delete the character, create a new one ect ect. My question is do I engage in this activity at risk of future punishment? Or is this considered part of the game and therefore acceptable?
This e-mail address is tied to my Main, and currently only, Dust 514 account. I did create a 2nd and 3rd character on my main account today, following the method I described above. I have an alternate PSN account ready, but I will wait for a reply before going further.
Thank you.
And they responded-
Hi,
Thank you for contacting us. While exploiting a game mechanic is never nice, CCP did not take a position against this behaviour yet. We do not encourage it but we are not punishing it.
Should you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to contact us again.
Warm regards, GM Unicorn CCP Customer Support | EVE Online | DUST 514

First off, thanks for the info. Second, I think it would have been prudent for you to ask the GM if it's ok to post this on the forums. Private correspondences are usually prohibited from being posted on the forums with the exception of those that look like cookie-cutter replies.
Notice GM Unicorn said "yet" in that sentence. Implying that there might be plans to institute the rule for Dust accounts. I assumed they already had that rule in place because they have a similar rule for Eve Online accounts. |

You're right Maken, I didn't even think about that. I probably shouldn't have posted it (sorry CCP!).
It seemed pretty vague to me as well, and that kept me from doing it long enough to realize it wasn't worth the hassle. |
