As of lately with the delay of the rebalancing of AV and vehicles, the vehicle community has yet again lost more trust in CCP's ability do deliver promising and balanced vehicle combat. This leads me to a simple question.
Do any devs, CPM's, or GM's enjoy running vehicles? Not just flying gorgon's around the map to get on a tower, but supporting a squad's needs and wants by the use of vehicles. Not deploying somas with no modules and getting 5-6 kills in ambush, before bailing out of your tank and going back to infantry work, but cruising the map and pushing the front lines in a fully skilled Madrugar. I don't care if you find them to be balanced or not in your personal opinion, but do you enjoy being behind a turret 100% of the time and swearing at Crazy Ivan when you are not?
I hope we have someone who appreciates diversity on the battlefield and sees proper roles for vehicles, unlike what we have today. When one man can entirely prevent all who enjoy working behind a turret from being effective on the battlefield, there is a problem. A major problem. CCP, please restore the fun times we have all enjoyed behind the wheel of our vehicles and appreciate what we bring to the battlefield, in both diversity and power.

You really think they delayed vehicle updates because they have no interest? They delayed them because the changes didn't make the deadline. The development cycle is short and they weren't happy with the results of their internal testing so they'll be picked up for the next cycle. I hope not! The main thing I am asking is: do any devs, CPMs, or GMs just like to be behind a turret over infantry AR gameplay? Just a simple question. |

Ex-Dropship Pilot HAV Rookie - Lost 200 Sicas so far So you have a small investment of SP in vehicles? OK. BUT... Are there any CPMs, devs, or GMs that would prefer a turret over a duvolle any day of the week. I think there is a lacking of the true love for vehicles that some players have in the higher ranks of CCP. |

No but the only guy who gave two craps about vehicle balance and could also fix it got fired. Is it just me or will it be just Wolfman writing code and balancing, Nullabor sets up the failed matchmaking, while FoxFour trolls the forums, and LogiBro plays the product in the end? This seems to be what it is coming to. And let's not forget Commander Wang

Do you by chance mean the arcane scribble that magically appears 24 hours before a change takes place thus preventing any meaningful feedback from the community which could potentially prevent problems before they occur? If so yeah I may have heard about those once a while back. Its a shame we don't see them sooner for the aforementioned reason. How are you going to give us meaningful feedback before you even try the changes? Or is your brain so awesome that you can look into the future? And while we are on the subject of feedback, guys, a few one liners and a catch word here and there really doesn't help. If you really care about improving the game, then please structure your feedback in a way that will: 1. List specific issues and the circumstance when it happened. We then put these in a weekly report and discuss them with the dev team on ways to address this. 2. Provide insight on why you think this is happening, if you can. Translation, explain as best as you can on how to reproduce the error/bug you encountered. The patch notes are there to let players know what changes are coming so they can plan their gameplay accordingly, not so that people can theory craft before hand on how things will work before they actually try it.

Proof more then ever there needs to be a test realm... or there needed.... when people where playing...
Implementing untested thing's based upon CCP Shanghai office "theory" crafting, and expecting it to go over well untested or even shook down for basic bug's is pure ignorant. In every offense of that word.
Sadly does explain a lot.[/quote] Simple math proves CCP wrong on numerous occasions. Why test it when a one line function says what will happen. The best example in memory is the buff to swarms or the DPS on the AR. |
