Start developing this game on PS4, possibly changing engine and tech stuff

Give us a complete game to test in beta, then officially launch the game, then expand the possibilities.
I sign all the three of course, but feel free to decide with one you want to sign (if you want feel free to exclude option 3 for example)
I'll give a reasoning for any of these:
1.
Back to beta because let's be honest, it's not an expanding game, it's still a rough beta.
2.
This reasoning is a bit more articulated.
Developing a game for PS4 allows ccp to gain in audience (but, yeah, they'll have to fight against Planetside 2 directly). This gain is mainly because F2P online games on PS4 does not need any PS+ subscription, so people can feel free to play a non-p2w online game without spending a cent. Moreover, if the development is quick, ccp can have the "first in" advantage. I mean, Dust could be one of the only two online FPS games available so, if people don't like planet side, or if they want to play something else, they'll play Dust.
The engine change:
PS4 can handle Carbon, and this is a great advantage in terms of friendliness with the engine.
3.
for "complete" i mean, give us all the main variants of anything:
ARs, Dropsuits, Dropships, HAVs, LAVs and Turrets. They don't need a different design, for example the laser turret can simply look like a Railgun etc.

I don't know how to do it technically, but I have always asked myself why the Dust 514 Devs are acting in such a secrecy, why not give us test servers like we have them in EVE? |

1. CCP won't return back to beta status because there is almost certainly a huge amount riding on the clock ticking from 14 May 2013, the official launch date.
2. If CCP are developing a PS4 version, their "exlusive on PS3" contract with Sony almost certainly prevents them talking about it.
3. Despite official titles, it is entirely possible that CCP informally view the current game as a beta, and I think we should too. I suspect there will be another "launch" next year, probably in May. |
