You must undestand that most good tankers are not here QQing all the time. Use your numbers and stadistics , NOT FORUM FEEDBACK. The numbers you will see tell a different story these ''TANKERS'' tell here on the forums....Tanks DONT do bad,Tanks are NOT UP. TAnks ARE NOT WEAK. And PROTO TANKS are not needed. As it is , unless the map provides you with a VERY favorable AV position, in order to take a tank you need a LOT of firepower,luck and some teamwork, as it should be.....and its not uncommon for even with all this, to be unable to take down a tank...
Also, consider (if giving them a ''HP BUFF'') reducing the tanks speed. You know they are tanks not ferraris and the f***s already outrun the fastest of scouts,making it very difficult to get confirmed kills.
Also, if a tank is -+- HP, Recall SHOULD NOT BE AN OPTION. With the speed tanks boost , hit an run tactics are very abusable. As it is a tanker can attack, get hit 2-3 times, run away, recall damaged tank, call in another one....

i see plenty of assault forge gunners taking top ranks because they spam FG on infantry as well as tanks. FG themselves honestly need looking but thats another topic. curretly though... your simply doing everything wrong.

Seriously though, a good tanker knows how to use structures, and landscape to evade, and these are the instances I'm referring to.
I can always tell the difference between a good tanker, and a bad one. A good tanker begins evasion as soon as he is hit by my first FG shot. These guys are a pain in the ass to take out. It literally takes the effort of at least 2 - 3 guys to get him to go pop!
A bad tanker begins evasion after he gets hit with my 3rd FG shot, by then, it's too late, then you see him come to the forums crying about how UP tanks are. LMAO HTFU!
Even though I disagree, my respect for not camping towers. Yes, bad tankers don't retreat, Their fault. But something is wrong when I immediately activate my booster and retreat and still can't run away. With an Ishukone FG, proficiency and 2 damage mods you do more than 2000 damage every 2 seconds (I have an alt with FG), 4 clip size, more than enough to kill the best tanks in the game. If the forge gunner is on a tower, tell my where am I supposed to run? So then what? Buff tanks because bad players are bad? That statement is meant for both bad tankers, and bad Heavies. Tower Camping is completely ridiculous and boring, and breaks the balance of the game. If you buff tanks or nerf FG becasue of FG tower campers, then it would be nearly impossible for those of us on the ground to do anything to tanks. In the same way, if CCP nerfed tanks because of Redline railtank snipers, Shield tankers who actually go in and get their tracks muddy, would have absolutely no chance at survival. These guys only think about padding their stats, despite the negative effect they are having on the game. Then they want to chest pound claiming how good they are. They're bad, and should feel bad!
yea well in my thread i had suggested making it so that heavies cant operate vehicles. keeps them from flying up to towers on their own, and from driving into our redlines, or attacking us with llavs and the driving off when they realize theyre losing.
if everyone is honest, heavies being able to operate vehicles, create instances that can be abused and not countered.
i think heavies should only be allowed to be passengers, until we the speeders, at which point the speeders should be free and be able to be operated by any dropsuit class |

in terms of isk, you can die 5 or 6 times and still turn a profit in the same match, and definitely by your second match.
if i die even once, itll be 5 or 6 whole matches before i break even. turning a profit with a tank only happens if you can survive enough matches to afford another tank. which for a 2.5 million isk tank... wont be for a while. |

Wow you have some kinda math dude! What if I was in my Proto? then I'm lookin at 200k per. Your blaster doesn't really see the difference between me having 2 or 3 Comp. Plates, it drops my Proto suit nearly as fast as My standard or advanced.
except you dont need a proto suit to run a proto FG, camp on a tower, or drive a free lav or dropship. my miltia fit cost 400k isk the hull itself is 138k.
i dont care about your suit, its your gun that makes the difference. |
