Many many players have said they would pay up to $30 for their skill points to be re allocated. So ask yourself CCP, is implementing a respec function with a time limit between purchases such a bad idea, that you are willing to throw away tens of thousands of $ worth of pure profit at no greater cost than the time it requires to program it?

Here's a story... CCP tried to maximize profit like a greedy company back in 2011 with Eve Online. It didn't go so well.
How bad was it, you ask? Well, does a 2,000-player walkout in a single month sound reasonable to you for a company whose subscription count was only 300,000 players at the time? |

No respecs. Sorry. They can raise a lot more $ by improving the NPE and adding the missing racial content--which is exactly what they're working on. Choices have consequences. I could see them allowing people to buy/sell their characters to other players for AUR like in EVE, but this shouldn't be an issue for another couple of years. |

Not a single one of the people who want to respec could tell me why they don't just wait for their next SP instead of QQing. Not - a - single - one. |

You mean for ISK? The Character Bazaar in Eve Online doesn't allow players to spend AUR for a character that is up for sale by another player. |

This. A thousand times this.
If CCP were to finish up with the following, then CCP can see increased revenue without having to resort to any AUR-based respec system.
1. Pirate Faction items as described early in the forums: https://forums.dust514.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=110140
2. A solid New-Player Experience complete with clear, concise, and detailed tutorials. Preferably an interactive tutorial like in Eve Online. A training room or a shooting range would be a great start.
3. Make factional warfare and PC battles actually have a much more meaningful impact in the Eve Online side of the server.
4. Make it easier for Eve Online pilots and Dust players to organize for more Eve-run orbital strikes.
5. Allow district owners to roam freely in their own districts for practice.
6. Solve the issue with corps locking out their own districts with alt corps.
7. Finish balancing those vehicles.
8. Make scouts feel useful again.
9. Solve the lag issue for PC battles.
10. Open up the API for more third-party development.
11. Open up the player-run secondary market especially when industry is finally introduced.
12. Introduce PvE missions. |

PvE has always been on my mind!
We are constantly invading distant planets, why no intelligent life for us to exterminate? maybe, possibly, PvPvM ? |
