CCP needs capital for new game development.
Sony gives CCP capital for new game development.
Sony stipulates that new game developed with said capital will be developed for the PS3 first.
CCP says OK; but, they purposefully sabotage the PS3 version of the game by slow, shoddy development and early half baked release.
Sony's contract with CCP to host said game on PS3 first ends.
CCP then announces a move of said game to PC and continues to introduce the real development on the PC.
The community rejoices.
Sony is happy because they will still have the profits from CCP's next game (Valkerie) and will continue to take a cut of any profits.
(Come on CCP; might as well sell out to Microsoft like Bungie did.)
If I'm right I'm sure this thread will be locked based on a standard excuse.
If I'm wrong it will stay open and dev will laugh it off because it is still true and we just can't know about it.

My version: CCP signs contract for 1 year exclusivity on PS3 a long time ago before all of the delays. They released Uprising as an official launch so they could "start the clock" on their contract with Sony, despite the game being more like a beta than the polished product they originally intended to release. They are trying to finish the game as best they can given limited resources. I think they're working on a PC and/or PS4 version as we speak, but it's being done under NDA due to their contract with Sony. I think by next year's fanfest we will see some news about other platforms, and these will likely coincide with a real marketing campaign. |

well... if this does go to PC then those of us who downloaded it because we don't have a PC will be screwed and wont bother trying EVE so it would be a mistake for them to move it to PC especially considering the console gamer is bigger than the PC gamer. |
