people love complaining. I get pissed myself when pc matches are broken. Stomp my feet all i want, still love this game: the most irrefutably revolutionary fps setup since the guys at valve picked up and perfected counter-strike (where have they been, slingin games on steam they forgot how to develop...still waiting on a comeback).
It's not simply new games coming out that depletes the loyal player base - constant banter over the "death of this game" lowering the morales of people who actually listen to you whiny, spoiled brats. Get off the broken game bandwagon, I'm sure you feel special making negative comments from behind the fourth wall. If you think the game is dead, gtfo - your posts are lame and no one cares. If not, keep playing with the thousands still active every day. Sure it's unfinished, but it is still light years ahead: check out theE3 trailer for Dust 514: it isn't CCP's fault that ps3 couldn't handle the first product they created, forcing them to start from 0. Ultimately, that trailer IS the potential of this game.
In the end, all of us with a real passion for fps gaming will indefinitely hope this game blossoms and crosses over to the next platform, reaching that full potential.. For that to happen, support with constructive criticism and keep your uneducated malicious jawing to yourself. Why don't you post some of your own personal rL work for all to see, dismantle meticulously and mock before you? Of course not, your lack of personality and individual thought processing wreaks.
I've seen enough games rise and fall in 20 years of playing hard. Mark my words, any game developer out there with brains is already copying everything this game is, knowing this IS the future of fps. Mindless, downright pointless cookie-cutter shooters like CoD have REALLY been dead for years, society simply hasn't caught up yet. Although bf3 trumps this on graphics, it still has no real purpose of play. We players of Dust are pioneers of the future of fps, whether it be on this game or not. Don't force the decline of this game, like MOH Warfighter. Valve (HL/HL2, TF, CS and CS source) spanned over decade, due to community support of the developer. |

Time to lay off the crackpipe
But...i love crack. il send you some, maybe you'll comprehend better? I comprehend just fine moron. There is nothing revolutionary about this game and you are fooling yourself if you think there is. Economy, whoopie. FPS want to blow stuff up. Period. The game mechanics are awful in this game. Real breakthrough stuff for other developers to copy. Keep drinking that kool-aid.
breakthrough stuff, hmm let's see. Completely customize character's skill set, virtually making every player an INDIVIDUAL rather than a copy of everyone else out there (CoD,BF) with a purpose and effectively obliterating the quantified "rock-paper-scissors" game style we've played out literally our entire lives. Adding roles in the best way I've seen yet for any FPS. Obtainable parcels of "property" under sole (and temporary) ownership of the 'clan' that was able to organize a team, train, plan, and execute a coordinated strike on the occupying foes - aka something to EARN that is, in virtual terms, tangible and illustrated to all players as that group's property. Finally, a connection to an entirely different game...on an entirely different console, doing entirely different things: a connection that, if you wish to be truly formidable in the most important aspect of THIS game, is imperative to form (and devastating when tactically utilized.)
The ability, and downright necessity, to form alliances and seek mutual goals: OR, the freedom so market one's self, individually or corp-wide, out as hired hands with no allegiance/land/platforms; to seek payment that is solely required to participate in any match, and to progress one's character.
Economy isn't even instituted yet. SO, you're pretty much making random critiques that neither make sense, are relevant, or hold their weight. Either A. you're simply disgruntled because you're bad B. you wasted your sp (and in turn, your time - see A.) C. havn't made it anywhere here (corp dropout) or D. quote "can't comprehend" what the game is all about. "FPS want to blow stuff up" - dude...you are a CoD caveman. "Mechanics are awful?" elaborate, oh wise one. Go back to the stone age of FPS, with your 6 man random teams and 100x100m maps, whip out what I can only assume is a thumper in your case, and let the 3 perk mayhem begin.
Lastly, given all of CoD's "glory" - and how far we're supposedly advanced in gaming - riddle me this batman: what kind of LAZY, SECOND-RATE development company makes a game with (I can't lie) better graphics than this, only to force players to rely on ONE gamer's internet connection for it all to run smoothly? Any game that doesn't have its own dedicated neutral servers is a complete and total waste. Any time you see "searching for new host" in CoD, think of me. Better yet, hope you don't get Jabib's pakistan connection.
