Tanks do slow down climbing.
Most of us have nitrous now to get away from OP swarms, and scrub AV naders who try to pack a LAV and zerg rush us. |

It makes roads more than just a texture o the map... It makes them the place tanks are king. Catching a tank moving up a hill gives an advantage. Using a hill to escape in a tank become a fun tactic
I'm going to give you some advice, since you appear to be new here.
Don't get to dreaming. This game is already in a form of development hell, and asking for them to do things that are way beyond their capabilities is going to lead to nothing but disappointment.
We don't even have moving tracks, and you want them to redo the maps to add terrain softness, which would be a huge task, and add additional stress to an already overworked engine.
Given the already massive problems with the way in which the engine is handling the data it needs to sort, trying to add terrain values would only create a massive mess. |

Well then, you should know better than to ask for something that would not enhance the gameplay in any way for infantry players.
CCP couldn't care if the vehicle game has the depth you would like, because it would go largely unnoticed by a huge portion of the players. Given how strapped they are for resources, coding something that would take months, and only be noticed by maybe 2% of the playerbase is pretty much a waste of resources.
Maybe once this game gets moved to PS4 in 2020, then they can start working on a proper terrain system.
Expecting WoT levels of detail will never happen, only because WoT doesn't have to deal with all the infantry permutations that this game does. |

I've been tanking for over a year it's just on the new map there are places where tanks move too fast it's bad game design it hurts the game. It overpowers tanks to have them able to move so quickly when not evena single tnk in WoT goes as fast as a tank in this game. It's dumb.
Tanks are slow, they are tanks.
After burners should make a real difference
Terrian needs to be taken into account so the game is more dynamic and has more combat awareness.
1. Nitrous, or the Fusion Accelerator, makes a HUGE difference. They got buffed in 1.4, and now are almost critical, given how much damage a set of swarms can put out in less than six seconds.
2. Tanks don't have to be slow, this is not the real world we are talking about. Enjoy Sci-fi.
3. Terrain is partially taken into account. Climbing a hill takes longer, even slopes have an effect. As a continuation of that point, the only way to climb certain slopes on maps is to use the nitrous, so there is a tactical choice to be made there.
4. Stop using WoT as your comparison point. WoT is a great game, but it also has its own problems, mostly based around RNG issues. The things that WoT does right, they do fantastically well, and the game is very detailed. Dust will never be like that, and it really shouldn't.
