What is your progress on achieving this task set out in mid march by CCP Dolan? I think it would be an awesome idea, but it seems like everyone has forgot about it. I am sure that there are many great candidates that the community has in mind in order to better represent the player base of Dust 514. |

In the latest CPM activity update though, Hans did mention something vague about a CPM charter being drawn up at the moment that will set out a lot more specifically what's going on. We'll just have to wait for that... Wait a second... CCP Dolan explicitly said this
"This appointed council will work closely with us in establishing a voting system, working with teams regarding upcoming features, and generally serving a similar role to the EVE Online CSM."
So I assume they are working closely with CCP to get a democratic system rolling, right? I tend to see CPM activity at an all time low considering only IWS and Nova Knife seem to be actively participating on the forums. Some other members seem to have disappeared, which is why it is should be time for the players to choose who the CPM is that will represent them. |

Kain plays the game more than i previously thought. That's nice to hear, but it is time we transition to a player elected CPM. Perhaps current members of the CPM will hold their positions or they may not. Lets let the players decide. |

Mind you, it was the unelected CPM themselves that seem to hold this opinion.
It seems to me, and I can't be the only one, that transitioning to an elected body should be the most important function of CPM0.
lol this again? You memory is clearly foggy, so allow me to remind you: there were scores of players who supported the current CPM's mission and direction and a handful that took your view of elections ASAP. Do we really need to bring that whole argument back so we can all show you how little support you still have? What is right and what is popular may be different things. Kain would have my vote to stay, but others may not. If the CPM0 does their indivual jobs well enough, they stay by the voting system. It seems as though there is something holding this up. If you are worried about people rigging the votes, then charge each voter 5 million isk. Not too much, but not enough for a dumb account to accrue. Or base it off SP. More than 5 million gets to vote. |
