The heavys as of build 1.4 are definitely weaker than before but that doesn't mean they're UP. Example: I see people on the forums complain about killing heavys to fst and I do the same, but when kill these heavys fast I realize they are the standard versions and when a proto assault suit goes against a standard assault, who do you think is going to win? Less than 5% of the heavys I see are proto and about 25% of assaults and logis I see are proto. Don't expect to be an impenetrable wall at standard level. |

I see Heavys mow down squads of people all the time, they just suualy do so when attacking from the side, they are not assult suits, they are not meant to be in the front of the attack getting all the atenton. Not all areas are in favor of the heavy suit, just like not all are in favor of scout suits. I usualy find any situation that a shot gun would do well, a heavy will do well. cramper quaters like in a city. |

As someone who does better with his militia AR heavy than his Proto HMG heavy on most occasions, I feel like the proto suit is just way too big of a target for way too small of a return.

It's true. I just had a proto heavy tank a plasma cannon direct hit. That's nothing to sneeze at. |

The only difference between the Standard Amarr Basic Heavy and the Prototype Amarr Basic Heavy is 1H/1L slot. It is laughable really. |

Well they are weak,not Underpowered.i agree. COMMANDOS are UP. Know the difference.
As it is i can 90% of the time defeat a Heavy, but i can NEVER defeat 2 heavies at the time,its impossible XD |

I've been doing fine in my militia Amarr heavy. I feel if I invested SP into the heavy frame, I'd be doing a lot better than I already am. Then again, in theory =/= in practice...
Also... Can't wait to level up the to prototype Minmatar Heavy when it comes out in a decade. |

The Amarr Heavies are too slow to justify their minimal slots and Base HP. It just really is not balanced. We can't escape damage, but even at Proto, don't really have the HP/slots to tank it without a dedicated logi following us around with a Core Focused Repair tool locked on. |

I think heavies are ok right now and are only good if you have a logi attached to them. They do good at corners, tight spaces and within shotgun range 1vs1 but a good assualt player can still win with ease, especially if he can cook a decent grenade. Slow fat target mostly armor that can't avoid grenades= instant death. |

I don't think there is much wrong with heavies. After all they need to balance out with the other frames or else everyone would be a heavy. They can't be all powerful bullies destroying all comers in their path. They have to be better protected and equipped with good but still limited weapons so that 1 v 1 they will cream the enemy but not take out a whole squad by standing in the open and eating all the bullets like its candy. Where would the competitive edge be?
so on the whole I'd say they work as intended. a formidable opponent when alone or in a tight spot but still something that can be taken down with numbers or attrition.
My alt runs militia heavy and only basic HMG at the moment (real suit still at the tailors ) it sucks but the k/dr is still very positive. Get in the right position though and it makes a hell of a lot of difference |

i went 33/ 8 just an hour ago it was boss and b4 tht i went 14 /1 only got killed cus i gt ran over by a blueberry tank with a tap nontheless but all in a heavy suit with hmg/forge |

Being able to make a weak suit perform well doesnt mean the suit isnt weak
If im cleaver and things go right i can murder people... one little mistake, one wrong step, and my heavy is dead. Personally i dont think they have the survivability to warrent the slow speed and restricted slots. |

It was an epic last stand in a battle where My Loibro and I got stuck with ****** smurfs on our team. |

I look at heavies having three major problems right now. First is speed right now the maps have got bigger and heavies are just way to slow to go from point with out a car. Also heavies in the open get mowed down by AR's and laser rifles. Second is there weapons 2 types hmg for 30-45 meters if your lucky. And forge guns meant to be use on lavs havs installations. They need a heavy weapon for that medium range. I still find it funny to see a heavy running with a AR. Last problem I see is the bonus to armor explosives do to armor. 20% more damage against armor. The only option we have currently is a armor heavy. With the popularity of mass drivers Armor does not last long. We are meant to hold a tight area but some throws a grenade and they spams a mass driver in a tight area heavies are screwed. No speed to run and splash damage from the mass driver you be screwed. |

Base plasma cannon has 1050 direct damage so I believe it couldn't without some sort of damage boost. But an ADV/proto cannon should be able to. To be honest I have yet to see any infantry survive a direct impact. |

I don't think heavys are UP but the HMG is a bit UP. The HMG operation skill should be changed from recoil reduction to 5% less spread per lvl. The heavy suit should also get it's skill bonuses changed because both of the bonuses are useless. Even if we had a Heavy weapon that did damage to yourself on overheat a reduced heat up skill would be better. |
