Below are the types of frequency crystals, and how they would likely affect a weapon's output if they were added to the game:

The current Laser weapons in Dust seem to use Standard Frequency Crystals.

Well lasers work via light frequency
Red being the slowest and least useful Blue being the medium Green would be the fastest/strongest wave of light
White is just a mix of the 3
But if we are changing colours get rid of the damned black of the scramber rifle. I want ma gold and blood red, or gold and olive gold |

When the "roll" mechanic was introduced to Dropships I posted a suggestion that CCP add a Flight Stick option. At the time pitch and roll controls were on two separate joy sticks. Truly bizarre. After making the suggestion people were jumping down my throat calling it "unrealistic" or "wanting to be catered too."
I am in total sympathy with those who blame the community. When we chose to be jerks there are consequences.
Getting back on the main topic. A different color for charged shots would be cool. I'd be worried that it would somehow unintentionally break the weapon. To be honest it is much safer to do nothing. |

So a scout with a profile dampener would be immune to advanced scanners and make it easier for them and there limited slots to be immune to scanning You are comparing Directed energy weapons to laser pointers, they are similar, but DEWs aren't restricted to visible light frequencies. The ones we use are using yellow visible light as their source of damage, but with the addition of frequency crystals, we will be able to shoot Concentrated Gamma Radiation or Microwaves. |

Well itd be a tad boring/annoying if they didnt shoot on the visible light spectrum. then again we have advanced helmets that might show that light

I agree that scouts need a buff but I am against any cosmetic changes that will get our ADHD devs off track yet again on side projects rather than working on actual new content and game modes. |
