When one is low on HP, one needs armor reps fast. One may see a bunch of nanohives and their glowing blue hemispheres of influence, but figure "hey that'll only give me ammo."
IMO, triage nanohives should have a different coloration to their hemispheres (most likely green) to notify those in the area that "HEY I'M A NANOHIVE THAT HEALS YOU TOO BROSEF!"
One shouldn't have to rely on simply looking at the screen and waiting to see if it says "armor repaired" to gauge if it is a triage nanohive or not. This will makes things easier for everyone, but most noticeably the blue dots.

This has been something that's been requested for quite some time. No word on if/when it'll ever be implemented. |

Nobody looks that close when they are in the heat of battle.
They can run to an ammo hive for healing and get none, they can run to triage hive and get no ammo, or they can head to an ammo/rep hive and get both. Each of the three should have a distinctive sphere. |

Derp! The icon itself. Not on the nanohive. There are two different icons dufus. If you can carefully aim at a dude's body, you don't need someone to hold your hand so that you notice that one ammo icon has 3 bullets and one has 3 bullets and a plus.
I believe that compact hives are the exception. |

This will also get them easily destroyed by the enemy if there are two clusters of nano hives with red dots near them. i'm chucking my locus nade at the one with the healing nanohive because that is bigger threat to me. So with this idea, it will make them easier to identify but keep in mind it goes both ways. |

This, for sure. If their visible signature is different from regular hives they will be the top priority to destroy. The small change in icons is obscure enough to not really mark them out in the heat of battle, so I think it's fine the way they are now.
You could always inform your squad and/or team that you'll be carrying triage hives so they know to look out for them. |

There are rep hives that also give ammo. |
