I am not asking for a nerf. I am just venting because this is now the only weapon that has been spammed to oblivion. TAC AR, Flay Lock, Fused Locus Grenade, and the Viziam LR weren't nearly as bad as this thing is. Am I the only one sick of the flavor of the year? Its not the players fault so much as it is CCP for not releasing all weapons and balancing them correctly. I'm done venting, now the intelligent people can begin discussing how bad I am at this game. |

Dude the AR has ALWAYS been the predominate primary weapon on the battlefield.
People specialize by getting lasers, mass drivers or scramblers.
The meat and potatoes of any squad is the good o'l AR, it's also the most versitaile weapon and the easiest to use.
I'd suggest joining the crowd because I don't see people ditching the AR anytime soon.

How can one possibly say that the AR is being spammed when its no such thing because that is the basic weapon of infantry troops.
Due to this forum, I have grown to dislike the word "Spam"

scrambler rifles are also pretty damn good. I'm glad nobody has caught on yet. |

I wonder when it's getting a range nerf. But meh, as long as I can kill an AR player at 100m with a Rail Rifle I'm fine. |

Supposedly in 1.5, but that may have been pushed back with the 'weapons' portion. |

Realistically, with 80%(estimation) of the player base running ARs do you think they will ever not be that majority weapon in the game and if so, what do you think it may be? |

But it's suppose to be a short-med ranged weapon. I've been killed at almost laser range and it did a ton of damage. |

The range is a technical issue, also, complex dmg mod stacking is a real kick in the nutz.
But that is the reason so many run them. |

Range has nothing to do with power. So no, its not OP.
Also, 80m range on AR isn't wrong. An AR can go longer than that. So I really don't see what's the fuss is about.

shotguns can go about 40m but they don't hear
The furthest recorded kill with a sniper rifle was 2000m but not here
The ranges are compressed for balance!
And all your whining won't help because the GAR will have its range reduced, to about 40m effective |
