It would be a game killing mistake. While it would be cool for DUST, it would just annoy EVE players without improving their experience in any tangible way. But boarding ships lorewise as a mission. YES, there s no reason to not do a mission type like this. There WILL be boarding missions eventually.. only that you wont be able to board a ship that actually belongs to an eve player. It might be done as part of a PVE side or even PVP why not. Its not that hard to imagine. It would be only a different type of mission as you have now skirmish, ambush and domi. You would have a lots of close quarters, corridors, walkaways and that is pretty neat thought. You can definitely imagine what could the objectives be for an attacking team or on the other side what would it be for the defenders. A lots of possibilities there. So in the future I can definitely see this happening, and thats pretty close to fighting in stations. Same thing as we have now only it would be different environment. And only problem would be the technical budget but I am sure that problem will be worked out.

I paid a corporation of Mercs to board their multi-million ISK pewpew space ship and blow it up, saving me millions, if not billions of ISK that took them months if not years to build and I'll be there to lap up the sweet salty tears. Hell, I could fly around in a frig, launch a boarding party, have them take the ship, and claim it as my own. 'course, this would be years down the road when the game actually has some damn content and is actually linked with Eve.
