It's funny how this is obviously something many players want.
We will get a respec system, especially if the game doesn't pick up in popularity come christmas / if the PS4 puts a serious hurt on the game.
Gotta keep us in somehow. |

We'll let the council of planetary management decide on that. Especially once the elections are implemented. I'm not worried about relying on CPM for a vital feature like that.
I'll let dwindling sales do that as vets run out of reasons to buy AUR, and noobs put down the game because vets are stomping the **** out of them and advancement is slower than a one legged turtle in a pool of molasses |

By the way, Eve Online is CCP's primary source of revenue along with the PLEX system they introduced back in 2010. If CCP was able to figure out how to cover the cost of voice transmissions (remember the Universal Voice Transmitters you had to pay?) for us, then I don't see CCP struggling financially anytime soon.
Unless of course you can somehow convince Eve Online players to unsubscribe by the thousands (again). But considering how happy Eve players are now, I doubt that will happen again for a very long time.
Just saying, even if you have one successful business, you can't just assume it's going to pay the bills for another. If DUST doesn't turn the profits that they want, things will change.
Just look at the Uprising debacle. Look how much changed internally because of how hard it failed. It's the same idea. If the game doesn't turn enough sales, they will do what they have to do to keep people interested. When your game is populated by a lot of bitter and bored vets because new players keep getting face rolled by half asleep players with millions of SP, and when the press is so bad that new players don't even try the game, drastic measures will have to be taken.
I don't care either way, I've accepted that my ****** up brain doesn't play nice with this boring SP system because I literally can't sit on SP for long (it actually makes my skin crawl seeing that number get higher up there). I'm just observing and laughing. |
