Eon, Pink Fluffy Bunnies, STB, Cronos, Zion TCD, Orion Empire, and all of the other corps I'm forgetting were pretty established before they became top-tier killers. The only group that is still a major threat, and no offense to them, to Eon IS Eon. >.> Mark my words...It'll end up like that if a major alliance doesn't come soon.
That's always a concern for every alliance (and corporation), especially the bigger it gets. Maybe internal strife will be what brings EoN down. Maybe it will be an outside force. Who knows? That's sort of the point. Everyone says OP now, but in a month we may be saying the exact same thing about the alliance Top Men or Public Disorder because we've seen people say this exact same thing before, multiple times, all recently. The Bunnies only lost a handful of matches to Hellstorm. What really killed them was the in-fighting (at least that's what it looked like from the outside). Outer Heaven looked to be in trouble when the Anti-EoN coalition first started to attack because apparently there were a lot of people within the corp on both sides of the fence who wanted to either support EoN or attack them (despite the fact that they had been in EoN for several weeks by that point). I still think the Imps stopped playing/mostly disbanded because of arguments within the corp as well, despite what anyone else would say. Some claim SI was the same, and that Sha raged and drove people away. The list goes on. And it doesn't just include single corporations. Remember when PHI left ROFL? That was big news for those of us that knew PHI had a major hand in creating ROFL in the first place, and was one of its more impressive powers. It's said they left on good terms, which I'm sure is true, but that doesn't mean it wasn't internal problems that drove them away. Pretty much. Too much infighting and not enough interest in grinding away at Dust. All the people/killers that left for IE/Imps pretty much stopped playing dust a few weeks to a month after leaving the bunnies and The Bunnies made a cohesive decision to abandon Dust since it didn't seem to be working out for us any longer and was really becoming a job instead of a game. Man I could only imagine if we stuck around how miserable we'd all be right now. Probably be stuck in Eon lol.
^this
It got to the point where we felt obligated to log on play dust rather than doing so because we enjoyed it. There are very few of us in Dust anymore. Most the active ex bunnies are in teamplayers or outerheaven and that is not a whole bunch.

It's said they left on good terms, which I'm sure is true, but that doesn't mean it wasn't internal problems that drove them away. PD and Top Men might make some balence, Darkstar, MSF, and others are also around in the shadows. I don't think PD will take the initiative and do so...After all you guys at least had some good terms but that's none of my business. Top Men? Again not to sound like an A-hole but I've barely read/heard about them. Maybe they will be the ones...idk. I kinda wanna see an alliance just pop-up and start doing stuff. Also MSF isn't an alliance or is big enough for an alliance and them attacking would mean that they would have to be NOT neutral which is what they're against. Your alliance is in the same boat I was rather lazy to not include you and wrote MSF down well after not paying attention There needs to be many balancing forces not one mega group of doom, the problem in dust was that there's always 1or 2 groups and one destroys the other and/or themselves
o-o Of course my alliance is in the same boat. General Tso's has never been truly competitive. It was good for our beginning phase but I feel it's time to move on...It's less of a coalition than the FSC was during it's hay day. @_@ I just don't know what alliance to move on to. |

Confirming. Tso just wants to have fun. Hell I talk to Burseg almost daily and he never told me he lost their district. He was chill about it. Like what he himself said last night, Tso, one of the small-time EVE/Dust Alliances, will always be around when everyone else falls and rises. They may not have the quality of players that entities such as EoN. or CHRONOS. has, but they have a hell of a lot of spirit and strive to have fun when many of us have given up. |

We left because.....politics(we PHIers hate the meta) and the total lack of eve/dust link. I still love my ROFL bros. We may or may not ever return to PC, just seems to be a little pointless in every manner of the word. We just like to shoot faces, and don't want to deal with politics. Besides there is no point in being in an alliance when there is no content to drive it. Its just a lot of work for no tangible benefit.
What do alliances provide currently? A chat room and a more "official" NAP. Also you can't seem to survive in PC without an alliance. There are no single entities on the PC board on their own.
It makes sense NS is now in EON, but at the same time, EON is just solidifying the more obvious drought that is good competition. At the end of the day, very few people have the courage to stay on the losing side. Its much easier to join an already thriving empire, than establish your own. I don't blame anyone for doing that.
NS was.....when PHI faced them, the very closest matches we had. Very good players.
EDIT: as far as someone rising up against EON...it just won't happen. There are too few people/corps that have the ability to do it. The moment it was tried, districts were locked to prevent it from happening. To win the war on EON is just to let them get bored. Not enough people realize this The sooner we "let them have molden heath" the sooner PC gets fixed. |

Im pretty sure...ya know...that people have been calling them bad due to latency issues even before they joined eon o_o
Funny thing is when I was FCing for Cafe Speed Plains which has primarily JP members...no one complained about the JP guys nor did we ever have lag issues ;3, just a thought. |

I thought people were BS'ing me when this was said a long time ago. Turns out they are with EoN. However I haven't played this game in the last 1 1/2 months until yesterday. Gran Thief Auto V and Borderlands 2 are addicting.
My opinion, it doesn't matter at this point. With the sudden spike drop (1000+) players practically some due to Gran Thief Auto V and Final Fantasy. Also with the emergence of the the triple a shooters from EA and Activision, we can expect a further drop in the player base in November. With the same 3 (technically 2) game modes, tons of stuff still missing, you have prototype everything for your role type, no new content, and mediocre monthly updates DUST will become exactly what it is when compared to the Triple A's, dust. Now giving DUST the benefit of the doubt, they could have most of the content up by the end of the year, maybe (this is giving them a high expectation). But after getting the majority of your prototype gear and playing with that gear for over half a year or more, it becomes a game grind for SP. A game grind to have SP for the next OP equipment of the new FotM whatever the case may be.

But there was another Alliance that was perceived as invincible too. It went by the name of CRONOS. But eventually, corporations teamed up, persisted, and wore them down. Now CRONOS is no more, and neither is one of the most successful corporations to ever play in PC, Seraphim initiative.
Around the same time a well-known corp (considered one of the best) by the name of Pink Fluffy Bounty Hunters, coming off their high from winning the Open Beta tournament and recruiting some good players, decided to go after Hellstorm. Well it turns out they weren't as good as everyone thought either because they fell apart a short time later as well.
Riding the wave of publicity for dismantling the Tournament winners, Hellstorm flexed its muscle. But even Hellstorm fell after they formed LoI, picked up a ton of great players and went to war with EoN. Sure, they're still around, but even Hellstorm has to admit they're a shadow of their former selves.
The point is, everyone thinks so-and-so is invincible and never going to lose...until they do. EoN is strong and stable, but it isn't as if for the rest of Dust 514's life, no one ever has a chance to dethrone us. Keep in mind all of the above has happened within the past 3-4 months.
And yes, it was a cool story. 5/10 I see you Eon guys falling apart due to boredom of being in a big ole empire. Not to say you guys won't get beaten by an up-and-coming alliance but I just can't really see what alliance will rise up...I mean each time we had people who were already established before the big groups came in. 1 million ISK Mavado or Cubs comes here to refute this, and claim that EoN will live forever and ever and marry the princess of their dreams I married Taylor Swift, does that count? You went to the dark side of EON Heimdallr. What happened to imperfect for life. :) I was the only one logging on I felt alone...I also wanted to rebuild but oh no not without big balls zitros...everyone else gave up so I left |
