If you join a match with a bunch of D-Uni players, please don't shoot them. Most of the time it's people giving a lesson on various aspects of the game (such as flying dropships or simply squad tactics).
It gets kinda hard for us to teach new players when the old players just join up and wreck the new guys.
Dust doesn't need a lower player count.

Trial by fire. Lol but seriously, how would you feel if you went fresh out of the academy and got stomped....especially with matchmaking in place |

That's some solid flying
My squad got on once and we goofed around running at each other in jeeps and playing bumper cars dropship v jeep style |

First off, if you come on to the Oceanic server during Aus/NZ prime time do not expect it to be an empty server and an AFKing paradise. You will most likely come up against strong squads from Science for Death, The Tickle Monsters and ourselves, also Nyain San are known to roam once in awhile. Secondly, I will never go easy on anyone in a pub match. Oceania isn't High Sec. Personally, I think the best way to teach new players is to only have a maximum of one or two in a squad of experienced guys and not an actual 'class' squad. I'm sure you know this in D-Uni and I'd be happy to liaise any of your directors if you have any students that want a placement. I would encourage any D-Uni members (or anyone) to squad up with TSOLE guys if they see a spare spot in one of our squads. Just introduce yourself and ask any questions, we're a friendly bunch. Agreed, but I'm in NA, so when I take a "class" out on a field trip, it's just basic vehicle stuff and we rarely get a game with any opposition worth worrying about....but it has happened and it is costly. I've taken to the habit of mailing people on the other team as a heads up that it will be a bunch of noobs in the match |
