The sound of pounding bass can be heard through the thick walls. The door is open, a bouncer stands at the door, collecting the 5 ISK entry fee to the club's account. Groups of civilians walk in, chatting happily with each other as they step through the doors to the new club. The entry hallway is fairly long. A strip of light that seems to be hiding something lines the walls.
The music gets louder, pulsing harder as the hallway opens up to the main room. Pulsing strobes of varying colours cross the room. Hanging precariously high above the floor at varying heights from bars that cross beneath a reinforced glass ceiling, exotic dancers perform their art in metal barred cages. On a platform at the back of the room the DJ, bobs his head to the music he is playing. The dance floor is depressed from the main lobby floor, filled with civilians dancing and raving to the music, drinks in hand.
The raised floor around the dance floor is laid out with four seater tables. Against the wall are some lounge chairs with a table between them. Waiters and waitresses bring people drinks and the occasional snack food. Exotic dancers dance on raised platforms with poles. A few onlookers watch with greedy eyes. Some tip a few ISK by transferring into the account set up electronically on the platform the dancer is performing on. Two floors of balconies go up the inside walls overlooking the dance floor below. People lean on the railings with drinks in hands watching the partying below. Above the balconies are the bars which the exotic dancers in the cages are attached to, which upon further inspection have a full winch mechanism.
A Gallente woman walks up in skin tight clothing.
"Welcome to the Second Hex. You look new here," she smiles. "The dance floor is right in front of you if you want to work up a sweat. There are bars on this floor and on each of the balconies if you're looking for a drink or a snack. The casino is on the top floor on the glass ceiling. The music isn't as loud up there if you're wondering. If you want a show there are dancers just about everywhere." She motions to a set of double doors on either side next to the stairs that lead up to the balconies. "If you're feeling more adventurous, the Pleasure Hub is downstairs. If you need a party favour" - she produces a small clear plastic zip bag with a few varying narcotics - "we can provide."
"The proprietor is usually walking the floor but if you need him about something relating to the club I can take you straight to him."
"So what can I get for you?" |

The bouncer had radioed the proprietor, who had told the bouncer to let the man through without a fuss, since no weapon had been detected in the entrance hallway as he pushed past. He watches from the first balcony up, drink in hand as the man sits at a bar and orders a spiced wine. Jakar smiles. His motto for the club, "Something for everyone", seems to hold true. He orders his security to be cautious; the man's movements seem very... mercenary.
Jakar nods to a waitress and gives her his empty glass as he makes his way down to the lower bar. He steps up to the man sitting at the bar.
"Everything to your liking sir?" |

"You make it sound like I'm robbing people. I simply provide a service as well as any Gallente can. People should be free to enjoy themselves after all. I'll think about your offer but for now I'll just wait for things to stabilize."
Jakar walks behind the bar and pours himself a glass of spiced wine, a different make to the one 21 is currently drinking. "As for other mercenaries, stock clones are fine, so long as they aren't armor clad. With all the different businesses opening for mercenaries to use I think the civilians should be more or less used to it by now. Still no weapons are allowed and that hallway makes sure it stays that way and I have a fairly large security team sitting on an even larger stockpile of munitions."
Jakar takes a sip. His eyes wander over the club casually for a moment. "So what brings you to my club? Surely it wasn't just to make me an offer. If you simply want to relax and have a drink, the upper balcony is quieter since the sound doesn't raise that high." |

21yrOld Knight wrote:Arc-08 wrote:*Arc walks in and sits down at the bar "Give me your finest Quafe my good sir" *Arc hands the bartender a 50 ISK chip "keep the change". After awhile of sitting at the bar slowly drinking his delectable drink making small chat with some gallentean mercs exchanging war experiences, Arc decides to buy drinks all around "Who wants what, just ask". 21 looks at Arc-08 and laughs hysterically. Then turns to to talk to Jakar " You see that's what i talk about your kind likes to spend its money. Fools like Arc-08 support my life. " 21 then turns at arc and yells over the loud crowd " I'm a heavy drinker my friend by me 10 " 21 then turns to Jakar and says quietly " I get ten bottles from him buy some of your narcotics then i go into the street and sell them for triple the price i bought them for. What Arc-08 demonstrated makes me want to fight for the gallente , but i have strong ties with the amarr that don't like the gallente. They may not appreciate me helping the federation."
Jakar smiles at Arc's generosity to buy everyone at the bar a drink. As 21 shouts for Arc to buy him 10 Quafes, Jakar turns to a waitress behind the bar and gives her an order. She removes a Quafe Ultra from the fridge behind the bar and carries it down to Arc. "This one's on the house," she says as she puts it in front of him.
Jakar turns back to 21. "You would fight for us because we like to throw around money?" Jakar shrugs and noticeably looks at his club. "I suppose you're right. Still look at it like this. If we're going to live forever, what's the point of stockpiling ISK we're probably never going to use. You might as well use some of it to enjoy something in your life since you already spend the other half of your life dying." Jakar takes the final sip of his drink and places it in the sink behind the bar to be washed up.
At this point, out of the corner of his eye Jakar notices a man nod at 21 out of the corner of his eye. Another Ammarian has stepped into his club. Not a second later, a lean man follows, scars across his face. The bartender whispers something about the way the second newcomer worded his order.
"One would think people would be used to such things in the Federation by now." He shrugs. "Just don't start anything, and I saw you laugh at the Ammarian. Next time, whatever it is, just tell 'em we don't have it. At least not yet." Jakar turns back to 21. "Sorry about that. You said you're observing the Gallente at the moment. What else have you observed?" |

Jakar is forced to turn away the instant he asks 21 the question, as a security guard, in a dark suit walks up behind the bar and whispers in his ear. "I'm coming," he says quickly. He turns back to 21. "Sorry friend, I have a bit of business to take care of I'll be back in a second."
With that Jakar follows the security guard up to the lower balcony on the left wall. Halfway down the balcony a man is clutching the side of his face wincing as one of the security guards holds back one of the dancers spewing venomous words from her lips at the man. Jakar steps up.
"What's the problem?"
"He grabbed me! I didn't sign up for this!"
"Have a drink. Take a break. I'll deal with this."
The dancer huffs and walks off. Jakar tilts his head from one of the security guards to the dancer. The guard promptly walks after her. He turns to the man.
"What happened?" Jakar inquires.
"What happened? That ***** scratched me after I grabbed her."
"She scratched you?" The man pulls his hand away from his face. Jakar tilts back and smirks. It conjured up the memory of a combat incident involving Nova Knives. "I see," Jakar says. "Listen. I'll explain it simply. You deserved it." Before the man could retort he continues. "We have rules and one of those rules is don't touch the dancers. You want to do some touching the Pleasure Hub is downstairs. Understand?"
The man glares daggers at Jakar but appears to think better of saying anything snappy. "Yeah."
"Good." He turns to a security guard. "Get a patch for his face." He then whispers. "Keep an eye on him."
The instant Jakar finishes saying that he receives a message in his earpiece. "Umm... Sir... A man wearing armor just walked in."
Jakar's eye twitches noticeably to the other guards around him. "Excuse me?"
"Yeah. It's a guy who just left. He's back. Paid his way inside and he seems nice enough."
Jakar looks over the railing quickly to spot the man who had walked in. It was not difficult considering the crowd had backed away from the bar where the man had walked up. It was the man who had bought the ridiculous amount of Quafe.
"Tell the bouncer on duty his shift's over. I'll deal with him later." He turns to another security guard and motions for him to follow.
Jakar pushes through the crowd to the bar. "Excuse me friend. Armour's not allowed in the club." |

"Oh thanks for repeating, well my good sir, i never saw a sign anywhere, nor was i told that i couldn't bring in my suit to show off to my old ammarian friend". Arc strolls over a bit closer to where Jakar is standing, "if you want me to leave and come back with something else just say the word, but alas that would not be nearly as much fun to mock my friend as this!" "i'm sorry if i've offended or threatened any of your clubs men, that truly wasn't my intention, but as you can see i'm not armed." Jakar finds his anger shifting focus more to himself than at the man clad in the dropsuit. He tried to calm himself. It was his own error; he would have to fix it.
"My apologies if I seem... aggressive," he starts. "I made the error of thinking it would be a given." He turns to the security guard that trailed him from the balcony. "Eric, take Kenan and grab a holoscreen from storage. Set it up outside. 'No weapons. No armour. No touching the dancers. Security is armed.' Make it quick, I don't want another misunderstanding."
"Yes sir," Eric says with a curt nod and walks away briskly.
Jakar turns back to Arc. "While I truly am sure you don't mean to offend or have any intent to cause any problems, I'm afraid I must ask you to come back without the armour. It makes the clients uneasy to say the least. I'll be sure to let the bouncer know to let you pass without an issue, provided you're not clad in armour of course."
Out of the corner of his eye, Jakar notices Eric and Kenan walk swiftly outside with the holoscreen in hand. |

Jakar watches as Arc walks out of the club. Instantly he begins to calm down, with the order restored to the club. The clients who had seen Arc in his dropsuit calm down and return to what they were doing.
Jakar walks behind the bar and begins mixing a strong drink for himself. When he's finished drinking, he pours the cloudy mixture into a drinking glass. He tops it up with a green drink that begins flowing into the drink like tendrils while remaining a strong green at the top. It is reminiscent of the green nebula that could be seen in Gallente space.
As he begins drinking, a waiter walks up to him. "Sir, Shaundi told me that the man over there in the brown jacket is looking for you."
Jakar looks down at his drink. Perhaps staying a little more sober is not a bad idea. He hands it to the waiter and walks up to the man in the ornate brown jacket. "I was told you were looking for me. How can I help you?" |

It is a nice place otherwise though, and your customers seem to be enjoying it so I'd say you have succeeded quite well." he adds, looking over Jakar curiously before speaking up again: "If I may ask, what spurred you to construct this place? There's already plenty of bars and nightclubs here."
Jakar sighs, clearly not understanding what Denak said. "This is what I get for only learning a few words so far. I should really step it up." He smiles.
"As for why I built the place..." Jakar pauses and looks around the room as though reflecting on something. A weary looks appears on his face. Without looking back at Denak he continues. "I fight so these people, my people, can live without a care. I fight so they don't have to. Though lately I feel like I've been stuck in a loop, so I opened this to take a break, and also to remind myself. I hope that makes sense." |

Denak Kalamari wrote:Denak smiles and bows in understanding, deciding to take the liberation of translating it into Gallente. "Hello brother. Pleased to meet you." he assures, glancing around the nightclub again. "I suppose you weren't taught Intaki when you were a child? It's not an easy language to learn." "Actually I'm a true Gallente. Well... you know what I mean, not Intaki or Jin-mei. I recently began looking into the cultures of the Gallente people and I know you're Intaki so I thought it appropriate. I want to know more about what I fight for and who I walk among."
Denak Kalamari wrote:"Burning out is common, it's understandable to wind down a little from all the death and fighting." he replies, deciding to order another tea from the bartender in the meanwhile. "And what people are you protecting, if I may ask? I have my own goals of helping liberate Intaki and her colonies from the Federation, so I'm interested." Jakar was a little wary now. The desire for the Intaki to liberate from the Federation was, as far as he knew, a touchy subject in general. Still there was a comradeship he found in this man. He orders some light wine.
"The Gallente in general. I don't trust the government to do it. They are too cowardly, sitting behind desks stuffing faces and lining pockets. We as a people often forget that there are prices to be paid for our liberties, some prices more hefty than others. Freedom isn't free after all. I fight to reduce the price and I'll do whatever I can to keep it that way. That way they get to worry about trivial things. The latest fashions, the latest holoreels, what to buy for lunch... What to get for their lover's birthday..."
He looks at the wine as the bartender places it on the counter in front of him. "Ian," he says tot he bartender. "Pour me a shot of the strongest thing we have." He swallows the wine and turns back to Denak.
"Sorry. I got a little dark there for a moment. You said you desire to liberate the Intaki from the Federation. I personally would hate to lose the Intaki both as a people and as a culture." The bartender puts the drink on the counter in front of Jakar, who takes a quick sip of it. |

Denak Kalamari wrote: "No need to apologize, I deal with a lot of dark things myself, I know the feel." he assures with a nod, looking at his cup and letting out a brief sigh, upon thinking about his own problems. "Anyway, liberating ourselves from the Federation doesn't mean completely cutting ties with them. For all the bad decisions they have done, there has also been some good, just not enough to justify our stay within the Federation. Intaki can still remain in the Federation and share our beliefs, our culture and our ways, our main goal is to make sure the people living in our homeworld and her colonies do not have to be afraid of militia and pirates every day, and be free from the politcal -- and cultural pressure of the Gallente."
Denak pauses for a moment to take another sip of his tea, followed by another sigh.
"That said, I'll probably continue rambling about the situation for hours on end, so I'll stop here."
"Well I hope that should you succeed, and trust me I hope you do, that I can still call you a Gallente brother. In your struggle just remember that the Gallente people and the Gallente government are not the same thing. You seem a little uncomfortable. If it's the music, the upper levels aren't as loud if you'd like to continue talking there." Jakar motions to the stairs. |

Denak Kalamari wrote:Denak sinks his head a little, stirring the liquid in his cup a little before taking another sip, leaning himself more against the bar counter. "They may be different, but both of them don't treat the Intaki so well. We get pushed into lowsec to the mercy of pirates and on top of that have to suffer from a constant and endless war over our heads in the terms of Empyrean War by the government. The people on the other hand constantly pressure us for melding into their culture, forgetting our ways for the greater Gallentean collective. I'm not saying all Gallenteans are like that, you are one of the few I like. But the majority doesn't seem to think highly of us." he explains, pausing briefly to catch a breath and take another sip before continuing: "Our problem is not political exclusively, but also social and cultural."
Denak paused again to take another sip of his tea, draining the cup empty too and setting it back down on the counter for a bartender to collect, opening the virtual interface on the bar to pay for the drinks. When he mentioned him being uncomfortable, he looked over to the stairs gestured, simply shrugging. "I'll manage, I usually wind down from these kind of places in the temple or in my quarters. Intaki rituals can soothe me quite a bit." he explains, giving Jakar a reassuring smile and nod. "Diversity has a habit of breeding conflict. Luckily it also makes us stronger." Jakar reaches into his jacket to take a quick look at his holopad.
"I'm afraid I must leave. I'm requested elsewhere. I wish you the best of luck in your endeavours."
Jakar walks down the bar towards Arc. As he walks he notices the other Ammarian (Kador/Adamance) looking into the crowd. Jakar is unsure of what he is looking at but ignores it for now; he may just be thinking.
He steps up to Arc. "Ahh. You're back. Thank you for obliging to my request. I'm sorry I was so forceful about it but without certain measures in place the chaotic nature of reveling can easily become the chaotic nature of rioting." |

Jakar walks up to the bar, next to Foley, and places the empty glass on the bar. He looks at the bartender, considers getting another drink, but decides against it. Then he remembers the tea that Denak had been drinking. Something non-alcoholic would probably do him a bit better for the moment.

Jakar suddenly sits bolt upright in his chair. His eyes dart around taking in his surroundings. He settles when he realises he is in his office. Did he blackout? He had not blacked out since he pulled himself together a few weeks after the Caldari Prime incident. He looks at the alcohol bottles lining his desk. Clearly alcohol tolerant does not mean alcohol immune. Still, he is grateful for the nanites in his system that had enough time to break down all the alcohol after he passed out. There is no headache and he tries to remember what happened but only remembers getting a drink, and with no one to talk to, he kept drinking. He does not even remember returning to his office. He removes a pendant from his office desk and looks at it.
It is elegant, curved and made of a green crystallized stone. Inscribed on it is Intaki script "Ahm kamai tah, kainta. - Nissa" it read. He smiles at a memory then puts it on, hiding it under his inside shirt.
He steps out of his office onto the casino floor. He stands looking around for a few seconds, making eye contact with a few of his staff, the dealers and security personnel. He makes his way downstairs. As he walks down the balcony, the music changes. The loud base changes as the lights dim a bit, enhancing the appearance of the strobes more. The dancing changes from wild jumping to more intimate deliberate movements. The exotic dancers glow in the dark, their bodies covered wit a glowing green paint that was otherwise clear in brighter light.
He steps downstairs to the bar to see who else was around, since no other person who identified as a mercenary so far seems to move beyond the bar. He sees Denak having a conversation with the Ammarian who had been drinking earlier and a few others.
He steps up. "Denak, you're still here." He turns to the group. "Gentlemen," he says, performing a quick but subtle double-take on Demel. "Lady," he turns to Satja. He notices how the Ammarian stands closely to guard her. A memory flashes in his mind for a brief moment as he turns his gaze back to the group in general. He motions to Ian, the bartender to serve him a drink. "Denak, why don't you introduce us?" |

Jakar walks beihind the counter quickly and retrieves the cube. If it is a bomb it would not be the first time he dies in such a manner, though he would hate having to pay for the clone.
Jakar begins giving orders addressing everything he saw necessary to address."Clear out the civilians. We're closing for the night. You can stay if you so desire," he says to the other mercenaries. He looks to Satja then to Adamance. "If she must stay please keep her close. I'd hate for something to happen. I'm terribly sorry for the inconvenience," he says bowing earnestly. "Arc we'll discuss it later. Denak could you please explain why this lunatic is looking to tear my club apart just to find you? And would somebody please tell me why the **** these weapons and dropsuits are getting past the scanner!" He shouts his last statement as he grabs a bottle of spirits from behind the counter and slams it on the counter, watching as civilians file out.
He looks over to see what Heathen did. "When the **** did that happen!? Leave my club!" he shouts. "Get them treated!" he barks at some of his security indicating the guards that Heathen had incapacitated. |

Jakar watches as others leave, pouring the spirits into two glasses. He looks at Denak. "Thank you for seeing to him. You go with them," he says to another guard.
He slides one of the glasses down the bar towards Heathen. "Can't deny a man a drink," he says without looking his direction.
"No, they don't," Jakar says lowly to Demel as he walks out.
"Sir?" one of the guards aiming a gun at Aztec inquires.
Jakar looks up from his drink to see Aztec on the barstool to his right shrugging awake. He mutters something inaudible as he looks up to take stock of his situation. Jakar walks down the bar puts his hand on his shoulder and spins the mercenary around to look over the bar.
"I want to blow your brains out so much, but all it would do is wake you up in another clone who knows where, and leave me with a bar and floor to clean even more **** off of, so we're going to start simple. Who are you?" |

So who will they be looking for then? Hmm. Perhaps some swarthy, rugged, roguish type figure who is talking to voices in his head. That would certainly fit the bill of a pirate. Galm compulsively slams his head into a nearby table, trying to knock his father from his mind. "You know, you have a bad habit of only showing up after I get myself into trouble!" He twitches slightly when he realizes he just said... No, shouted that out loud. He sighs loudly, running his hands through his hair as he tosses the bouncer the five ISK entry fee. Jakar opens the club the next day, or night, since the station was ever on the dark side of the planet. Eventually it fills with no shortage of people, Gallentean or otherwise seeking some time to relax in varying forms. Jakar retreats to his office on the casino floor quickly to take a bit of a nap. He removes his black jacket and puts it over the back of the chair. In the small mirror on the wall he looks at himself, for the first time in a long time. The clone was the exact image of what he looked like prior to his rise to immortality. Dark skin, not quite as dark as a Matari's and close cut hair with brown eyes that could just as easily hide emotion as betray it.

Jakar awakes to his NeoCom, being told that his bouncer had been shot. He jumps up, neurally pulling up the cameras. The doors had locked down, and the person who had did it seemed to be waiting outside for something. Jakar starts moving, pulling on his jacket and walking across the casino floor as briskly as possible without drawing attention. He makes his way downstairs only to feel a slight vibration that was definitely not the music. He brings up the camera again, to see smoke at the door.
"Lovely," Jakar says.
Jakar watches as the man walks in in the dropsuit to a wall of guns only to be taken down rather unceremoniously by Heathen, who promptly picks him up, proclaiming he was carrying him to an airlock. Jakar finds a slight smile crossing his lips as he walks downstairs, lifting the lockdown. He notices some of the people watching whispering to each other with excitement in their eyes. He hears one of the comments off-hand, "Told you exciting stuff happens here."
Jakar hears Hunter shout for assistance outside and reaches over the counter for a medical kit. He then runs outside, coming to a halt next to Hunter. He opens the medkit and begins talking to the bouncer. "Bruno, listen to me, you've been through worse; you're married to Viola, and she's the last person I want knocking down my door, especially now that it's missing, so please don't die on me."
Jakar pulls out a stim needle and injects it into his arm, while pressing his hand down on the man's spasming chest. Jakar counts to ten slowly, as Bruno's breathing slows and comes back down and his heart rate slows, down but is still high. Jakar injects a civilian nanite injector into the wound, it was slower than regular injectors and served for stimulating biomass repairs in the body, rather than armour. The man grunts but is unable to speak as his heart rate and breathing readjust. Jakar puts a liquid bandage over the wound and watches as it solidifies slightly.
Bruno's breathing returns to normal and he coughs, then wheezes slightly. "****, Boss, what happened?"
"You almost died. Good thing I'm a field medic."
"Amy is going to be pissed," Bruno says jokingly, coughing slightly.
"Not as much as if you were dead."
"**** just loves to happen here, don't it?"
"Yeah, I'll get a booth installed out here for you guys, military grade so don't worry. Hunter, can I ask you to help Bruno to a medbay? I have to deal with other things."

Jakar steps back into the club, with Hunter off to carry Bruno to the medbay. He motions for Demel to follow, smiling at Demel's display not a moment ago. "You would be able to get me a booth made of military grade explosive resistent materials and polymers?"
He looks in Arc and Heathen's direction. "Hey, take it easy. They threat was dispatched. Regardless of what it had to do with, you guys did what you had to. Unlike Aztec, this guy proved a more genuine threat and between all of us I think we know he's going to be back too."
Jakar turns to a guard. "Denak's going to hate me for this given the station's no weapons policy but we're going to need a stronger defense if this kinda thing's going to keep happening. I have a storage locker in the T-35 storage area, number U-57. Here's the code." He slides his datapad from inside his jacket and shows it to the guard briefly. "Got it?" When the guard nods Jakar continues. "Take a couple of guys with you and get a trolley. There are going to be a ton of crates of varying sizes in there, you're looking for three about the size of a footlocker stacked near the door. They're going to be marked MSF-LA. Get them back and bring them here. Go through the storage area and store them in the security room. Inform me immediately when you return." Jakar is about to finish when he turns back. "Switch out of your uniforms too. Wear plain clothes."
"Yes, Sir."
Jakar turns back to the group, Demel, Heathen and Arc. "Okay, while he's off doing that, come with me." He walks up to the left wall. Decorative pairs of interlocking hexagons are on it. He places his hand on one closer to the bar, near the door down to the Pleasure Hub. A security personnel, leaning up right inside the door snaps up then relaxes as he notices it's Jakar. Jakar motions for the others to follow. |

"Calm down," Jakar says walking down the first flight of stairs to a landing. It turns to another flight of stairs leading down to the Pleasure Hub. Jakar looks at Heathen. "Should I be concerned that you're getting into fights with your pistols?"
Jakar looks down for just a brief moment and bows slightly. She returns it with confidence, a sly smile on her face. She mouths a word to Jakar, "Clients?". He shakes his head and turns back to the wall, pulling out his datapad. He inputs a command and a door opens.
"I didn't want to use one of the security hallways upstairs, since it's not an immediate threat at the moment. You know how frisky people get."
A hallway to a flight of stairs leads immediately up from where the wall slides open, then turns sharply to the right at the top.The hallway is standard Gallentean design. A strip of light lines the wall on either side, with single lights in the ceiling. The wall curves into the ceiling without an edge or point. Jakar walks up the stairs. The stairs extend up about as far as the stairs they just came down. The hallway at the top of the stairs stretches the length of the club with two doors at equal intervals on the right side. Jakar steps through the first door into a security room. A few security personnel mill about. A few vidscreens show cameras while another set of vidscreens a little more out of the way of the main security room shows varying graphs, most of which are raising or plateauing. One in particular fluctuates more than the others but it can be seen that there is a net increase in the graph. A man sits behind those vidscreens monitoring them maybe a little more closely than the guards at the security screens. The graphs vidscreen is against a petition that blocks off part of the room and creates a small doorway. Through it lockers and a few crates can be seen. A doorway is against the wall opposite the one Jakar walked in. It can be safely assumed it leads to one of the security hallways that Jakar mentioned before.
Four guards playing cards in the corner jump up as Jakar steps in.
"Just make sure you can get up that fast when something happens again."
"Yes sir."
He turns to the group behind him. "Welcome to my monitoring room. Lot of good it seems to be doing lately, with all the stuff that's been going on." |

Jakar sighs as he takes a seat. "You're right Demel, I'm not one to show-off. The reason I've brought you here is to thank you for your assistance with all that's happened. I also want to ask if you guys are interested enough to be more or less my freelance security. Having a couple of immortals I can rely on with the hell that this place seems to be turning out to be would be invaluable, and don't worry. No uniforms. Demel we'll discuss you supplying me with the booth for the bouncer. If I like what I see, I'll contract you for a few heftier matters."
Jakar drops his head as he remembers something. "Dammit, I think I forgot to order a new front door. Think you can get a reinforced layered hexplate tungsten door about half a metre thick with enough hydraulics to close it in about a second in an emergency?" Before Demel could respond, Jakar added, "Keep in mind the first front door wasn't made of that. I'm just covering my bases." |

To the average person it would look like a flush ceiling, so what it looks like won't be much of a problem. Unfortunately the explosion took out the engraved synthetic oak double doors so now I have to reorder those too."
Jakar looks across to the security vidscreens for a moment then back to Arc. "The idea is that you guys will help with other immortals who feel a little too frisky. My guys can handle the civvies. You don't have to stand up in the corner looking menacing or anything, unless you feel like it; just don't frighten away anyone. My only real rule is 'no civilian casualties'. As for what to do with a threat, use your discretion. Something tells me we've had enough training between us to know when to kill and when to... do something other than kill. Threats like the guy who decided my door was a demolitions testing range are to be neutralized by any means necessary as quickly as possible. Hostage situations like Aztec, try to talk them down or something. If it becomes a situation where we can apprehend them and knock them out do that. Chances are we'll turn them over to CONCORD in such a case."
Jakar looks at Heathen. "Please remember we're dealing with mortals here. Try to avoid breaking bones, setting on fire, exploding or otherwise maiming them... unless I tell you to. Mortal doesn't always mean innocent unfortunately." |

Jakar gets a distant look in his eye for a moment. "I think I'll eat out today. Maybe that place that just opened; Aria's I think it is. I'll stop by your place once I'm finished eating. I don't think I'll need a demo though. I've seen enough of those types of doors to know how they work and, in some cases, make them work when they're not supposed to. You ever see a HAV get crushed by one fit onto a warehouse?" Jakar smiles lightly and shakes his head at the memory, leaving it to Demel's imagination.
After a few seconds, Jakar stands up and walks to the door. "I'm going to lunch. I'll see you in maybe an hour." |

Jakar leaves the monitoring room and returns to the club floor. He looks around briefly, then walks up to the casino floor to his office. He removes the necklace from his drawer and puts it on, bringing it to rest on his upper chest. As he walks back out he pulls on his gloves, and adjusts his colar. He stops briefly on the stairwell to wipe. Scuff mark from his shoes.
He exits the club to see Arc sleeping on a bench. Jakar finds himself smiling; it is such a Gallentean thing to do. "They're going to come in a service entrance anyway," Jakar smiles, turning and heading to Aria's. |

Jakar returns to the club after a stroll around the station to see his memories dissipated once more. He passes through the wrecked door where two of his bouncers are standing. They nod at him as he goes through. The music is peppy.
"Layman's Rust," he states softly, remembering the band. The staccato percussion of their music reverberates throughout the club.
Looking around to make sure everything is okay, he heads to the back hallways once more to check that the men he had sent to the locker had returned. When he gets behind the staff/maintenance area he takes a seat in the room that he had taken the others to and takes a look at the crates. He nods, satisfied that they are the correct crates and then sits, idly watching the camera feed, as he pours himself a light drink.

Jakar heads upstairs with Arc. He messages the DJ to pick it up as he reaches the top of the stairs and tells the bartenders to start putting more alcohol in the drinks. He sees Heathen sitting at the bar, espresso in hand and raises an eyebrow. "Espresso? Really? I mean, I know we serve them but come on, that's more for the casino floor don't you think?"
The music begins to pick up and the strobes begin flashing. The figures of the exotic dancers could be seen flashing in the lights moving wildly, their body paint glowing and making them stand out. The floor quickly became packed as revellers jumped on the dance floor to the music singing and shouting, drinks raised high into the air or to their lips.
Jakar watches with appreciation. It's the reason he made the club after all.

I was annoying his little princess " *with a wry smile*"couldn't help it." "What did you do now? If it's anything that's going to start something stupid could you take it outside if he shows up?"
Jakar begins mixing a drink. He starts by mixing vodka and a green couloured wine. He pours it out and then pours a thick sweetener at the top which quickly takes on a cloudy green colour and spreads into the drink like tendrils while remaining at the top. He lifts it up and gives it a very slight shake. The tendrils remain but are a bit more spread out.
"Gallentean Nebula," he says holding it up to Heathen and Arc. "Very sweet."
He looks around when Niina shouts for a man to buy her a drink. He gives her a quick one over. She is here to party. He considers sending her a drink himself just for being so lively but decides he would rather have her get other men to pay for it.

He looks over at the woman who had walked in asking who wanted to buy her a drink and decides to reconsider not sending her a drink, maybe it'll unwind her enough to get others to spend money or to get her to spend her own money. Jakar smiles, he waves off the bartender. "I'll make his drink."
He mixes up another Gallentean Nebula for Arc, throwing on a bit of flair he thought he'd long forgotten as he flips the mixer in the air. He pours Arc his drink and slides it to him. As the bartenders pour drinks for the party-goers, Jakar finishes his drink and gets to work on another. He mixes another Gallentean Nebula and pours it into a tall glass. It gills up a quarter of the glass. He mixes another drink, this one with a lot of whiskey and pours it in, tilting the glass so as not to disturb the drink on the bottom too much. Though the alcohol mixes, the colours stay divideded, mostly. He mixes a Caldari Nebula, a blue drink with the same cloudy appearance and then an Ammarian Nebula, a gold drink with spiced wine.
When he is finished the glass has four layers of colour, mixing slowly into each other. He looks at Arc and Heathen with a sly smile on his face. He begins drinking the drink, the spice of the Ammarian wine hitting him first.

Still, watching closely he's more comfortable now that the man is not so jumpy anymore. As he introduces himself and Arc responds, Jakar says, "I'm Jakar, owner of this club."
Jakar nods slightly at Arc's wave and continues to sip on his Cluster.
"ISK is both the cause and solution to most problems," Jakar states. He reaches the Caldari layer of the drink and feels it hit him. He hopes that he does not have a blackout and faintly ponders if he should slow down or stop.

Jakar hit the bottom of the cluster and leaned forward placing his hands on the counter. Four nebulae with at least eight different heavy alcoholic drinks, combined into one drink always hit hard. He blinked, trying desperately to hold onto the edges of consciousness. If he blacks out now, there is no telling what he might do.
"I think I'll stop for a moment until this settles down." He would have to wait til his body's nanites broke down some of the alcohol. They were programmed to do it slowly, that way he could at least enjoy a buzz from drinking, but if he got drunk enough to black out again he might end up like that time in Villore nearly a week after Caldari Prime; good thing he was in a stock clone at the time.
"So what do you do Leithe?"

"Jakar, I am pleased to announce that your doors are ....ready." He says as he unravels the tube to show a "scroll" like datapad within it.
"Everything's good to go for tomorrow, labor crew, materials, and the rest precisely in-"

"11:39 and finished in 15:12! If you have any last minute touches or problems...it's too late- Just kidding! Let me know- no but seriously this time-, let me know. We can always have them installed whenever your ready."
He then notices his companions at the table, "Oh hello! He sighed as he listened to Demel speak, wanting badly to shake the man off his back. When he is finished Jakar unhooks his hands and let's him drop down. He takes a step to the right so he can see both Demel and Leithe.

He shrugs despondently.
Jakar raises an eyebrow at the slip up about "the stronger stuff" but ignores it. He spins around on the ba chair and looks over at Kiara. She is young, her features clean. Her hair moves in the air with every motion in her dance and her hips, one of the most noticeable things about her, move evocatively. Jakar waits until she glances over and raises his hand to beckon her. She slides from the crowd, panting heavily. As she walks her hands and hips still move slightly to the rhythm of the beat.
As she walks over Jakar whispers to Leithe, "She can be a bit air headed or silly sometimes but trust me when I say she's by no means stupid."
"Yes Mr. Umbra?" She asks as she walks up, still breathing heavily. Jakar twitches slightly; he prefers it if people simply call him "Boss" but as Jakar thinks about it, it seems to be a thing only with the dancers. Despite her clearly Caldari heritage, she has an accent that indicates she had been in Gallente space for quite a while.
"Kiara meet Leithe. He's a bit shy but he likes the way you dance."
She leans forward towards Leithe. "Is that all you like?" She asks giving a quick wink.

The bottle is of whiskey is getting close to empty but there's still enough for a couple more drinks, provided he does not drink too fast.. "I'll finish off the whiskey first if you don't mind."
Kiara sits on the bar stool next to Leithe on the opposite side of Jakar and slides the seat around a little to get just a little bit closer to Leithe but not too much in an attempt not to make him jumpy again. "What's the most colourful thing we have, Mr. Umbra?" she inquires.
"You could try the Cluster," he says.
"I'll have that then," she says smiling.
