I really can't wait. The level of customisation will be enormous. Even without the specific details you can tell its going to be something really special. I mean just think about it. The scope for the vehicles alone will be great:
Caldari - Long range hit sniper. Can take a hit, hide for a short while and be back. Gallente - Sturdy front line tank. Be able to take more fire but have a long recovery period Amarr - Balanced. A multi role tank. recovery variable (if the shields are full then the armour is fairly safe to rep itself) Minmatar - Speedy tank. Cant take much fire but easier to attack from an unexpected angle and then retreat.
Then, as they said in the 1.5 notes, they can release the pilot suits. Thats going to open up a whole new ball game of play styles. even with the placeholder stats we've seen we can expand and speculate:
Caldari - boost to shield recovery (?) Gallente - boost to extenders and plates Amarr - boost to armour recovery (?) Minmatar - boost to damage mods
Think about it. If you went pure Gallente you become an even more harder bulldozing frontline tank (with a catastrophic recovery time) while being a pure Caldari would mean your only gone for a moment and your back in the fight.
But change the suits around and it opens up other possibilities. Tired of your Gallente tank having to take such a long breather between engagements? become an Amarr pilot and you'll be back much sooner. If your play style is more cautious then pick the Caldari pilot suit and you can spring back much quicker
Personally my alt will stick to pure Minmatar - Run in, wreck it up fast and then cheese it! |

by the sound of your post, the amarrian HAV would be best choice out of all 4 because of the stats you put there, that being said, if your post was actually whats going to happen, then everybody would go to the amarr tank |

I imagine the tank will be slow and therefore harder to avoid fire but I'm sure they'll try to balance it somehow |

im pretty sure that us tankers will find a way to make them effective either way, weve always managed to adapt after every nerf we receive. |

i have always pictured the caldari and amarr pilot suit having the following bonuses
caldari pilot bonus +10/5% to vehicle shield recharge rate per level (i used to see it as +15% but im not sure how much their ramping up base recharge)
amarr pilot bonus +2% module active time per level i like this skill the low number doesn't seem overpowered and at the same time a little longer time on active mods could save your tank |

Amarr bonus should be towards extender and plate efficiency, since in Dust they are the dual tankers. |
