Actually the Jovian's like the caldari the most. They saw long ago that they were the most progressive out of the four empires and gave them the gift of the capsule, as well as many other pieces of advanced tech.
Of course the gallente wanted to get their hands on this, allowing the caldari to have a technological edge meant risking a possible military push on the caldari home world. Being the corrupt sleaze bags they are, the gallente used their front groups' the guristas and the serpentis corp, to raid caldari research facilities and steal the reverse engineered tech the Caldari had been working on.
They then gave it to the minmatar to not only undermine the amarr but also gain an ally against the caldari. So the caldari then had to find and ally in the amarr by giving them the same tech. This all would have been so much easier if the gallente hadn't fuked the caldari over in the first place when we wanted out of the corrupt politics military industrial complex that is the gallente, to pursue wealth and science.
The caldari are trying to protect their own and advance in technology, we too are freedom fighters. Constantly being attacked by the much larger fed, having our home world besieged for decades, Too long have we been oppressed by the corrupt leaders of your so called "republic" the thought of your countless atrocities to mankind sickens me. I took on a contract with 3 of my Caldari brothers today. The leader of our squad was Gallente and we entered battle against the state. Horrified we fought on, we were, after all, getting paid. The sight of 4 Caldari mercs fighting for Gallente in FW i think was to much for our Caldari opposition and as their moral dropped so did their objectives.
The victory left us hollow and ashamed, I attempted to flagellate to alleviate the pain in my soul, but alas the whips could not penetrate 3 complex shield extenders. |

Admittedly we should hate the Jovians for defeating us at Vak' Akioth but in some ways I feel their intervention tempered the Amarr. Perhaps it was a dose of what we needed.
And in that instance perhaps God saw in us something not like what we should have been and chose to punish us. |
