Have to agree with this. I like the AScR but it is mostly for comfort when I am lazy and also that its easier to fit.
If you take time and aim properly the ScR is more potent especially as you dont need to get as close.
And yes - Carthum price is insane for the crap range and damage done. |

I really like the Carthum and I seem to do really well when I use them, however, its rare that I do since my proto Amarr logi with Carthum runs just a few grand shy of 200K ISK.
I like the AScR because I run Amarr logi and tend to overheat the regular scrambler (running Amarr logi not assault), it is really good at short to mid range, but the number one reason is I like a fully automatic weapon with a dot sight and right now the AScR is the only place to get that.
