If I remember correctly th bolt is supposed to be very high damage. I believe the exact quote was the "Desert Eagle" of Dust 514. |

People say Caldari will be based on Breach weaponry, but then those same people are all like "Rail tech is long range". That's a damn oxymoron.
Secondly, the true Scrambler Pistol is the tactical variant? No one would use that, because the IA5 is subpar to the other variants.
What I am thinking is that the Cal use two different techs (out side of missiles of course): Rail tech (long range), and plasma tech (short range). When they say "bolt pistol" I imagine it being plasma based, like a lighting bolt, not rail based, because a short range railgun just makes no since what so ever. This is of course just speculation. |

My guess is that CCP is looking to get some data on lower ROF with higher damage per shot in CQC, but that only makes a little bit of sense. I suppose what it comes down to is "cuz CCP". Sometime there aren't any good answers.
Ima go with "cuz CCP" also. I mean look what the did to the Tac AR. Who would EVER use the Breach over the Tac now. *shakes his head* friken CCP some times. |
